Ghaziabad, December 22, 2025: The Department of Applied Sciences and Humanities, KIET – Deemed to be University, Delhi-NCR, in association with Vijnana Bharti (ViBha) and ISTE, successfully organised the National Mathematics Day–2025 Celebration on Monday, December 22, 2025. The event was organised at the Campus of KIET Ghaziabad to commemorate the birth anniversary of the legendary mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan. Nearly 350+ students, faculty members, and principals from various schools actively participated in the event, making it a vibrant and enriching academic gathering.
The programme was graced by the Chief Guest, Shri K. K. Dixit, who delivered an insightful address on the importance of mathematics in day-to-day life and its vital role in science and technology, emphasising how mathematical thinking forms the foundation of innovation and technological advancement. The Guest of Honour, Shri Rakesh Kumar Tripathi, spoke eloquently about the beauty and elegance of mathematics, highlighting how mathematics transcends numbers and formulas to reveal patterns, harmony, and logical clarity.
Dr. C. M. Batra, Convenor and Head, Applied Sciences & Humanities addressed the audience and explained the objective of celebrating National Mathematics Day, elaborating on why the day is observed to honour the legacy of Srinivasa Ramanujan and to inspire young minds to recognise mathematics as a creative, problem-solving discipline essential for national development.
Dr. Manoj Goel, Executive Director, KIET – Deemed to be University, warmly welcomed all the distinguished guests, principals, faculty members, and students from various schools. He expressed his appreciation for the enthusiastic participation and acknowledged the dedicated efforts of the organising committee for successfully conducting the celebration.
Addressing the gathering, Dr Adesh Kumar Pandey, Director of Academics, emphasised the significance of mathematics in the present AI-driven world, underlining its central role in artificial intelligence, data science, machine learning, and other emerging technologies shaping the future.

The event featured poster and project presentations, quizzes, and interactive mathematical activities, providing students with an excellent platform to showcase their creativity, analytical skills, and conceptual understanding. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Rashid Ali, who expressed sincere gratitude to all the chief guests, dignitaries, principals, faculty members, students from various schools, and the entire organising committee for organising this gracious and successful academic event.
