    AICTE-Approved Faculty Development Programme 2026 on Universal Human Values Commences at KIET

    An eight-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on Universal Human Values (UHV), approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), commenced at KIET Deemed to be University, Ghaziabad, on June 22, 2026. The programme was formally inaugurated with Saraswati Vandana and the ceremonial lighting of the lamp in the university campus. The AICTE team was welcomed by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Nagaraj Ramrao, and Director Academics Dr Adesh Kumar Pandey.

    Welcoming the distinguished guests, Dr. Arvind Kumar Sharma, Head of the Happiness and Cognition Centre, highlighted the growing importance of value-based education in contemporary society. He also shared insights into the Centre’s ongoing initiatives and future plans aimed at promoting holistic human development.

    Addressing the gathering, Prof. Nagaraj Ramrao emphasised the relevance of India’s ancient traditions rooted in the ideals of brotherhood and “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” (The World is One Family). He underscored the need to integrate these timeless values into modern education.

    The keynote speaker from the AICTE team, Dr Vanchana Singh, drew attention to the challenges and confusion emerging in society alongside rapid technological advancements. She encouraged faculty members to play a proactive role in nurturing value-based thinking among students.

    Dr Yudhishthir Singh, Observer from the AICTE team, presented an overview of the eight-day programme and familiarised participants with its objectives, structure, and guidelines.

    The university’s Pro Vice-Chancellor, Dr Manoj Goel, Director Academics Dr Adesh Kumar Pandey, and AICTE Co-Facilitator Dr Abha Mishra extended their best wishes to all participants for a meaningful and enriching learning experience.

    The inaugural session concluded with a formal vote of thanks delivered by Dr Snigdha Chaturvedi.

    The FDP aims to equip faculty members with a deeper understanding of Universal Human Values and their integration into education, thereby fostering responsible, ethical, and socially conscious future professionals.
