KIET Inaugurates 3-Day Annual Cultural Fest Epoque at Prastuti 2026 with Grandeur on April 2

KIET Deemed-to-be University Ghaziabad marked the grand inauguration of its much-awaited annual cultural fest, Epoque@Prastuti 2026, on 2nd April 2026, setting the stage for three days of vibrant cultural celebration, creativity, and inter-institutional engagement. The fest at KIET Deemed-to-be University, scheduled from April 2 to April 4, 2026, promises an exhilarating blend of intra- and inter-institute competitions, including Group Dance, Group Singing, Band War, Kavya Dhara (Hindi Poetry), Rap Battle, Nukkad Natak, Skit, Mime, Fashion Show, and Beat Boxing.

Epoque@Prastuti 2026 has drawn participation from over 700 students representing various institutions, such as IMS Engineering College, Rajiv Gandi Institute of Petroleum Technology, Hansraj College, Bennett University, Galgotias University, Meerut Institute of Engineering and Technology, RKGIT, Sheheed Bhagat Singh College, SRM IST, Graphic Era Hill University and others. These participants will compete in a wide array of inter-institute events scheduled for April 3 and 4. The competitions will span multiple creative and performing arts domains, offering a platform for students to showcase their talents at a competitive level.

The inaugural ceremony commenced on a ceremonial note with the traditional lamp lighting by the Chief Guest, Dr. Kcalpana Bhushan (Internationally acclaimed Performer, Choreographer, and Guru), and Guest of Honour, Mr. Sanjeev Kapoor (Chairman of The Sports Grail Pvt. Ltd), Mr. Pravin Kumar (Managing Director - NIAD GroupHon Advisor) and Ms. Nita Kumari, in the esteemed presence of Dr. Manoj Goel, Executive Director, Dr. Adesh Pandey, Director Academics, and Mr. Gurmeet Singh, Fragrance Partner of the event. The dignitaries collectively set the tone for the fest, symbolising knowledge, creativity, and cultural harmony.

Dr Anurag Gupta, Convenor: Epoque@Prastuti 2026, stated, “Epoque@Prastuti is a celebration of creativity, talent, and collaboration. He highlighted that the event provides a dynamic platform for students to explore their potential beyond academics and engage in healthy competition.”

Chief Guest Dr Kcalpana Bhushan expressed her admiration, addressing the gathering, for the scale and spirit of the fest, highlighting the importance of such platforms in nurturing holistic development among students. She emphasised that cultural fests play a pivotal role in shaping confident, creative, and socially aware individuals.

Guest of Honour Mr Pravin Kumar also encouraged students to actively participate in co-curricular activities, noting that such experiences contribute significantly to personal growth and teamwork.

The inaugural ceremony witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, and guests, followed by captivating cultural performances that reflected the vibrant spirit of KIET. The event also included the felicitation of the distinguished guests and marked the official commencement of the fest activities.

April 2 has been dedicated to intra-institute competitions, where KIET students are competing across various categories. The winners of these internal events will go on to represent the University in the inter-institute competitions, competing with participants from other colleges/ universities in the following days.

Adding to the excitement, a DJ Night featuring Elina Chauhan is scheduled for the evening of April 2, promising an electrifying experience for the students. The festivities will continue on April 3 with a glamorous fashion show, showcasing creativity, style, and innovation by participating teams.

The grand culmination of the fest will take place on April 4 with a highly anticipated Star Night featuring renowned Punjabi singer Harrdy Sandhu, expected to draw a massive audience and conclude the fest on a high-energy note.

Dr Manoj Goel appreciated the relentless efforts of the organising teams, including student coordinators, faculty members, and various departments, for their seamless coordination and dedication in bringing the event to life. He highlighted that Epoque@Prastuti is not just a fest but a celebration of talent, diversity, and youthful energy.

Dr Abhinav Juneja, Director – Corporate Relations & Placement Centre, Dr Vinay Ahlawat, Associate Director Online & Technology, Dr Pratibha Kumari, Co-Convenor - Epoque@Prastuti 2026, along with all the deans, heads and functional heads of various departments, were present in the inaugural ceremony.
