Addressing the gathering, Prof. Nagaraj Ramrao, Vice Chancellor – KIET, welcomed the students to the KIET family and introduced them to the University's vision, achievements, and global outlook. He highlighted KIET's strong industry and international collaborations with leading organisations and institutions such as L&T, SAP, EY, INTI International University, RWTH Aachen University, and several others that provide students with opportunities for internships, research, global exposure, and career advancement. Encouraging students to make the most of their four-year journey, he urged them not to compare themselves with others, to respect their teachers, remain curious, and continuously work on improving themselves.
In his inspirational address, Chancellor of KIET University and MP Ghaziabad, Shri Atul Garg Ji shared, “University life marks the beginning of a new phase of independence and responsibility. Along with academic excellence, work on your personality, pursue your passion, and develop your skills. Whether it is innovation, entrepreneurship, sports, literature, or filmmaking, KIET provides every opportunity to help you discover your potential.”
Speaking about KIET's entrepreneurial ecosystem, the Chancellor informed students about the opportunities available through TBI-KIET, where aspiring entrepreneurs receive mentoring, incubation support, and assistance in securing government funding for startups. He emphasised that students with innovative ideas can benefit from government-supported schemes and financial assistance of over 20 lakhs, while the University provides the necessary guidance and ecosystem to transform ideas into successful ventures.
Chief Guest Shri Kumar Vineet inspired students by drawing a parallel between the University's name and the teachings of Lord Krishna, emphasising the importance of developing diverse skills. He remarked, “Engineering is not confined to books. Your skills, knowledge, attitude, and relationships will define your success. The next four years of your university life will shape the next forty years of your future.” He further encouraged students to dedicate themselves to maintain physical fitness, and stay motivated throughout their academic journey.
Delivering his blessings, Padma Shri Swami Bharat Bhushan Ji emphasised the importance of time, discipline, and the sacred relationship between a teacher and a student. He reminded students that true knowledge cannot be acquired merely by paying fees but through dedication, faith in one's teachers, and sincere efforts towards learning.
Stressing the significance of a value-based life, he advised students to remain focused on knowledge rather than material comforts and encouraged them to adopt five life resolutions: waking up during Brahma Muhurta, seeking blessings from parents every morning, practicing yoga daily, following a satvik lifestyle, and engaging in regular swadhyaya—the study of both academic knowledge and self-reflection. He explained that these practices would help students cultivate inner peace, discipline, and clarity of thought.
The inaugural programme also featured a series of insightful industry and academic sessions. Mr. Anshul from HP Pvt. Ltd. addressed students on emerging industry opportunities and professional expectations. Shri Hardeep Singh Bamrah from HCL Technologies delivered an engaging session titled "Shiksha se Udyog Tak ki Yatra", highlighting the transition from academics to industry. Dr. Sushil Agarwal, Founder Chairman, Avro Pvt. Ltd., delivered an inspiring address on "Shaikshanik Pathdarshan – Utkrishtata ki Ore Pratham Kadam", encouraging students to pursue excellence from the very beginning of their academic journey.
The Freshman Induction Programme will continue until 31 July 2026, featuring sessions on academics, innovation, research, entrepreneurship, student support services, ethics, wellness, career development, clubs, sports, cultural activities, industry interactions, and global opportunities. Through this comprehensive programme, KIET Deemed to be University aims to equip students with the knowledge, confidence, values, and skills required to excel academically and emerge as responsible professionals and global citizens.
The event also witnessed the presence of all Deans, Heads of Departments, Functional Heads, faculty members, staff, and newly admitted students.
