KIET Deemed to be University, Ghaziabad, successfully hosted the two-day IEEE International Conference on Innovations in Computational Intelligence (ICICI-2026), bringing together a distinguished gathering of academicians, researchers, industry experts, and scholars from across India and around the globe. Organised by the Departments of CSE (AI & ML) and CSIT, and technically co-sponsored by IEEE, the conference served as a dynamic platform for knowledge exchange, research dissemination, and global academic collaboration in the rapidly evolving field of computational intelligence.

The conference commenced with an inaugural ceremony marked by the traditional lamp-lighting, held in the esteemed presence of Prof. Nagaraj Ramrao, Vice Chancellor, Dr Manoj Goel, Pro Vice Chancellor, and Dr Adesh Kr. Pandey, Director of Academics, and Chief Guest Prof. Jasjit Suri from Idaho State University, USA. The organising leadership, led by General Co-Chairs Dr Rekha Kashyap, Dean CSE (AI & ML), and Dr Harsh Khatter, Dean CSIT, played a pivotal role in conceptualising and executing the conference.
ICICI-2026 witnessed an overwhelming global response, receiving 2,488 research paper submissions. Following a rigorous review process involving multiple expert reviewers, only 200 high-quality papers were selected for presentation, reflecting a highly competitive acceptance rate of 8%. The conference featured 29 technical sessions conducted across multiple parallel tracks, covering key domains such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Data Science, Internet of Things (IoT), Cybersecurity, Natural Language Processing, and Computational Intelligence.
The conference hosted eminent keynote speakers and Guests of Honour from across the world, including experts from the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Japan, Ireland, and Romania, highlighting its strong international outreach. Participation from across Indian states further underscored the nationwide academic engagement and diversity of thought.
Over the course of the conference, participants engaged in insightful technical sessions, panel discussions, and keynote addresses. Scholars presented innovative research addressing contemporary technological challenges, fostering meaningful dialogue and exchange of ideas. Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning emerged as central themes, drawing significant interest and engagement from attendees.
The valedictory session was graced by Chief Guest Dr. Abdul Quayum Ansari, Professor at Jamia Millia Islamia and former Secretary, IEEE CIS Delhi Chapter, who emphasised the importance of ethical innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the transformative role of computational intelligence in addressing real-world problems. He commended KIET Deemed to be University for organising a conference of high academic rigour and global standards.
During the closing ceremony, outstanding research contributions were recognised through best paper awards across various tracks. Certificates of appreciation were also presented to session chairs, reviewers, and organising members for their invaluable contributions. The conference concluded with a formal vote of thanks, acknowledging the efforts of IEEE, faculty members, student volunteers, and all stakeholders.
Conducted in a hybrid mode, ICICI-2026 ensured seamless participation for both in-person and virtual attendees, enhancing accessibility and global engagement. All accepted and presented papers will be submitted to IEEE Xplore for potential publication and indexing in reputed databases such as Scopus, further amplifying the impact of the research work.
