Questions related to KIET Group of Institutions, Ghaziabad (KIET Ghaziabad)

On Question asked by student community

Have a question related to KIET Group of Institutions, Ghaziabad (KIET Ghaziabad) ?

Dear student,

Yes, you can use your EWS category rank for admission to KIET Ghaziabad through UPTAC counselling , as seats are allotted based on category ranks for reserved candidates.

Now, about your chances:
With an EWS rank of 1,30,638 , getting ECE at KIET is highly unlikely . In recent years, the closing EWS rank for ECE at KIET has been around 35,000 to 40,000 . If you’ve seen a closing rank like 347,725 , that might actually be the CRL , not the EWS rank. Category cutoffs are always much lower.

KIET Ghaziabad and JIIT Noida are both good private engineering colleges. But JIIT Noida is a little better in terms of placements, especially for Computer Science and IT branches.

JIIT Noida gets more big companies like Amazon, Adobe, and other product-based companies. The average package in JIIT for CSE is around 7 to 8 lakh rupees per year. Some students also get very high packages above 20 lakh. KIET also has good placements, but the average package is slightly lower, around 5 to 6 lakh per year.

The campus of JIIT Noida is modern and clean. KIET has a bigger campus and more hostel space. JIIT is stricter in academics. KIET follows AKTU university syllabus.

So if you want better job placements, JIIT Noida is slightly better. If you want a bigger campus with good facilities and lower fees, then KIET is also a good choice.

You can try:

  • Less competitive branches

  • State counseling (UPTAC) for better chances

Choosing between computer science engineering (cse) at JSS, AKG Or kIET depends upon several factors:

JSS academy of technical education: known for good academic performance and infrastructure and have decent placement records. Average package around rupees 4-6 LPA with companies like TCS, wipro etc. Active campus life with various clubs and activities.

Ajay kumar garg engineering college : praised for its faculty and academic rigor . Strong placement records and industry connection. Average package around  rupees 4-5 LPA with companies like Amazon, infosys etc. Excellent infrastructure with modern labs and libraries. Vibrant campus life.

Krishna institute of engineering and technology: consistently ranked among the top private engineering colleges. Average package around rupees 5-6 LPA , with top recruiters including Microsoft, IBM etc. State of the art infrastructure with all student facilities. Dynamic campus environment with a range of activities.

In my opinion KIET is better because it has a very strong alumni network. But you should take your decision considering other points that I mentioned above as well.
