KIET Group of Institutions has been recognized by MathWorks, a global leader in mathematical computing software, for achieving the highest utilization of MATLAB under the Campus-Wide License (CWL) in North India. This prestigious recognition places KIET among the top 10% of institutions selected out of more than 450 colleges across India, a proud validation of the institute's commitment to integrating world-class technological tools into academic and research practices.
To mark this remarkable achievement, a felicitation ceremony was organized on campus. The event was graced by eminent personalities from MathWorks and DesignTech Systems Pvt. Ltd., including Mr. Chandan Pramanik (Director – Education, MathWorks), Mr. Deepak Sharma (Sales Account Manager – North, MathWorks), and Mr. Anoop Pandey (Manager, DesignTech Systems Pvt. Ltd.). The ceremony highlighted the power of academia-industry collaboration and the transformative impact of MATLAB on higher education.
Mr. Chandan Pramanik lauded the enthusiastic learning environment at KIET, commending both faculty members and students for their continuous pursuit of knowledge. “Every faculty member must remain actively engaged in learning new technologies to stay relevant in a rapidly evolving world,” he emphasized.
He also encouraged students to participate in quality projects and highlighted opportunities such as the upcoming drone competitions at IIT Hyderabad. Mr. Pramanik further stated that collaboration between MathWorks and academia is not only desirable but essential for shaping the future of engineering education.
Delivering the welcome address, Joint Director of KIET, Dr. Manoj Goel, stated, “This is a moment of great honor for KIET. The adoption of MATLAB CWL has significantly elevated our academic delivery, empowered our research, and enabled the creation of meaningful real-world applications by our students and faculty alike. This recognition reflects our strategic vision and dedication to excellence.”
Adding further, Director Academics, Dr. Adesh Pandey, addressed the gathering with deep insight into the academic transformation facilitated by MATLAB. He said, “MATLAB is no longer just a software; it has become a foundation of applied learning at KIET. It enables higher-order thinking, contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals such as clean energy and innovation, and enhances our students' employability and creativity.”
Dr. Pandey reiterated that this recognition is a checkpoint, not a destination. “We will continue to embed MATLAB in advanced coursework, interdisciplinary projects, and research centers. Our goal is to ensure students graduate with both conceptual depth and practical skills.”, he stated further.
Dean R&D, Dr. Vibhav Kumar Sachan was highly appreciated for his proactive leadership and his role in fostering a research-oriented culture and in managing the successful execution of the Campus-Wide License integration.
The institution also expressed its sincere gratitude to the KIET Management for their foresight and unwavering support in approving the MATLAB Campus-Wide License. This visionary decision has empowered departments across engineering streams—ranging from ECE, Electrical, Mechanical, and Computer Allied Branches —to simulate, model, and innovate using state-of-the-art tools.
At KIET, MATLAB is actively utilized in final-year and capstone projects, research publications and funded projects, hackathons and national competitions, workshops and certification courses, simulation of control systems, power electronics, signal processing, AI/ML models, and more.
This event reinforces KIET’s standing as a forward-looking, innovation-driven academic institution. The continued collaboration with MathWorks and DesignTech promises to open more avenues for excellence in education, skill development, and industry-academic synergy.

Choosing between computer science engineering (cse) at JSS, AKG Or kIET depends upon several factors:
JSS academy of technical education: known for good academic performance and infrastructure and have decent placement records. Average package around rupees 4-6 LPA with companies like TCS, wipro etc. Active campus life with various clubs and activities.
Ajay kumar garg engineering college : praised for its faculty and academic rigor . Strong placement records and industry connection. Average package around rupees 4-5 LPA with companies like Amazon, infosys etc. Excellent infrastructure with modern labs and libraries. Vibrant campus life.
Krishna institute of engineering and technology: consistently ranked among the top private engineering colleges. Average package around rupees 5-6 LPA , with top recruiters including Microsoft, IBM etc. State of the art infrastructure with all student facilities. Dynamic campus environment with a range of activities.
In my opinion KIET is better because it has a very strong alumni network. But you should take your decision considering other points that I mentioned above as well.
Hy,
When comparing JSS Academy of Technical Education (JSS), AKG Engineering College (AKG), and KIET Group of Institutions (KIET) for a Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) program, several factors should be considered to determine which is better overall. Here’s a detailed comparison based on key aspects:

JSS Academy of Technical Education (JSS) is also a strong contender with its modern facilities and good academic reputation, particularly if you value proximity to Delhi.
AKG Engineering College (AKG) offers solid education and decent facilities but might lag slightly behind KIET and JSS in terms of placement and infrastructure.
Dear
According to the information based on your ranks, here's a brief overview of your chances at the three colleges:
AKGEC (Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College) : For BTech CSE, the cutoff for OBC NCL candidates is around 608919 . Unfortunately, your rank of 152076 is significantly lower than the cutoff, making it unlikely to secure admission here.
JSSATE (JSS Academy of Technical Education) : The cutoff for BTech CSE for OBC NCL candidates is around 110370 . Your rank of 152076 is higher than this cutoff, so you have a good chance of getting admission here.
KIET (K. I. Engineering College) : The cutoffs can vary, but generally, your rank of 152076 should be competitive for admission to BTech CSE at KIET.

Thanks.
With a CRL rank of 94k in JEE, your chances of getting into top-tier colleges like AKGEC, KIET, GL Bajaj, or Galgotias for CSE or IT are somewhat limited, especially in the General category. These colleges tend to have higher cutoffs for branches like Computer Science and Information Technology. However, since you're applying through the UPSEE (Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination) counselling, you might still have a chance, particularly if you are from Uttar Pradesh, as there is a state quota that can slightly lower the cutoff for state residents. You may have better chances in branches other than CSE/IT, or in newer/less competitive colleges under the same institutions. Additionally, cutoffs vary year to year, so you should check the previous year's cutoff trends to get a clearer picture. Keep an eye on the counselling process and make sure to list your preferences wisely.
