Can you tell us about your family and educational background?
Prarthana Drolia: We are four members in a family, father, mother, and elder sister. Sister is two years older than me, father is a businessman and mother is a homemaker. Sister is also pursuing B.Com. I have completed my Class 12 from Notre Dame Academy.
When did you start preparation for the CUET 2023 exam?
Prarthana Drolia: My preparation for the CUET exam started after boards mainly, these levels were the same and some things were additional in CUET, and boards were subjective. So, if anyone is preparing for subjective exams properly, then he/she can definitely crack CUET very easily because it is MCQ-based. And, we got enough time after both of them, as board exams ended in March and CUET was conducted in May. And, so roughly, we got two months to prepare, and that is enough for practising and the additional levels, which were in CUET, like the microeconomics part in economics and the computerised accounting part in accounts. In some chapters, there were some portions that were deleted from the boards, but they were added in CUET. So, those things can be covered after boards only.
What books did you refer to for CUET 2023 preparation?
Prarthana Drolia: To prepare for the CUET 2023 exam theory part I referred to NCERT for all the subjects'. For English, there are no such NCERT books because we won't get questions from literature. So, I referred to YouTube videos for that. The faculties from my coaching institute helped a lot in my English preparation. For economics, I will not recommend NCERT because it is too technical, and whatever is given is not particularly relevant for our portion. So, I used Sandeep Gurg, and after that, I practised chapter-wise. For business studies, I used Alka Dhawan; for accounts, I used BK Goer; and for economics, I solved only the McQs. For maths, I have referred to RS. Agarwal.
What were your chosen streams and subjects for the CUET test?
Prarthana Drolia: My stream was commerce, and the subjects I chose were English, accounting, Economics, Applied Mathematics, General tests, and business studies.
Which course do you wish to take, and at which university?
Prarthana Drolia: I want to pursue a BCOM from Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University, which is a prestigious university.
What are your CUET scores in each subject?
Prarthana Drolia: My CUET score in English is in the 100 percentile with a score of 199.647. In accounting, economics, and business studies, it is 200, with a 100 percentile. In applied maths, it was 99 plus percentile and 167.61 was the normalised score, and for general tests, it was 98 plus percentile and the score was 182.98.
Was it difficult to prepare for the CUET exam?
Prarthana Drolia: No, it was not that difficult. I think it was easier than the board exams.
Any tips for aspirants who are going to appear in CUET next year?
Prarthana Drolia: For next year, I only want to give the advice that he/she should first focus on their board exams because the syllabus is mostly the same, and after boards, there will be enough time to cover the CUET syllabus. I don't think practising too many mock tests would do anything great. I would recommend solving previous year's question papers more and focusing on NCERT, and only in the case of economics, focusing on Sandeep Gal.
Please describe your CUET 2023 preparation plan.
Prarthana Drolia: I think there is no such thing as a mantra for success. All you need is hard work and preparation. And confidence is very necessary. If you are confident, then you might as well know things, But still, you will mess it up. At least before exams. Like my exams, they were on the third shift. So, I slept before going to the exam centre itself in the afternoon. So, I would recommend that even if you have not completed your portions and are not that confident, do not sacrifice your sleep to complete them before the day of the exam. Otherwise, you will forget whatever you have studied. Sleeping is very important. Confidence is very important, and studying and preparation are also important.

Hello,
Yes, you can get a reservation to study B Tech. through cuet exam as per your category. It is partially dependent on the university you will get admission.
Thank You.
The top government colleges offering B.Tech admission through the CUET exam in Delhi primarily include institutions under Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) and specific colleges within the University of Delhi (DU).
Here are the key government colleges that accept CUET scores for B.Tech:
Cluster Innovation Centre (CIC), University of Delhi: Offers B.Tech. in Information Technology & Mathematical Innovation, with admission based strictly on CUET scores, and it is known for its low fee structure.
Faculty of Technology, University of Delhi (DU): DU has also started admitting students to its B.Tech programs (like Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, etc.) via the CUET (and usually JEE Main).
Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU): While GGSIPU primarily uses JEE Main scores, some of its programs in the main campus and the GGSIPU East Delhi Campus accept CUET scores for admission, particularly for certain specializations.
It is important to check the specific course eligibility for each university, as highly ranked institutions in Delhi like Netaji Subhas University of Technology (NSUT) and Delhi Technological University (DTU) rely more heavily on high JEE Main ranks for admission through JAC Delhi counselling, rather than CUET alone.
