Can I wear Jeans in CUET Exam?

Candidates can wear simple jeans to the CUET exam centre. NTA has not mentioned any explicit ban on jeans. But, complicated button wear like Cargo, Multi-Pocket Jeans, jeans with too many metallic items like zippers, chains may trigger the metal detectors at the security gate, which will definitely alert the security personnel and will lead to thorough frisking, leading to time loss.

• Cargo & Multi-Pocket Jeans: Wearing this may lead to heavy frisking as it is easy to hide banned items in these.

• Heavy Metal Attachments: Avoid wearing jeans with large metal studs, chains, multiple decorative zippers, or massive metallic branding. These trigger metal detectors during frisking.

• Ripped or Designer Jeans: Excessively distressed or ripped jeans can cause security delays during manual frisking.

• Skinny/Tight Jeans: Sitting for 1 to 3 hours in tight jeans is not something many would enjoy. During exam, focus should be on the exam, not on how uncomfortable the cloths are making you
