The National Testing Agency has published the guidelines every candidate must follow for CUET UG 2024. One of the most important rules that students must follow is the dress code for CUET. NTA has released the CUET dress code 2024 explaining how the attire of a candidate should be on the exam day. This includes the types of clothes students are allowed to wear, as well as accessories they can carry on the day of CUET 2024.

The CUET 2024 dress code is set in a way that helps the frisking process easier for the personnel responsible for security, increasing the integrity and fairness of the CUET exam process. It is mandatory for every candidate to follow these guidelines for the CUET UG exam, on May 15 to 24. Candidates who fail to follow these rules will not be allowed to enter the CUET 2024 exam centre.

What is CUET Dress Code 2024?

CUET dress code is the rule regarding the clothes that are allowed to be worn on the CUET exam day. Students appearing for the exam must be aware of all these CUET exam day guidelines.

CUET Dress Code 2024

Candidates attending CUET exam 2024 must follow all the guidelines related to dress code for CUET. As per the dress code for CUET UG 2024, candidates can wear light coloured clothes with short sleeves For students with cultural attire, they are required to report at least an hour before the last reporting time for a thorough frisking. Candidates can wear slippers and sandals with low heels, but shoes which cover the entire foot, like boots, sports shoes or sneakers, are not allowed at the examination centre.

NTA has released a list of things that candidates can bring to the CUET 2024 exam centre. The list is as follows:

  • Photo ID proof such as Aadhar card, Passport, Voter’s ID, PAN card, etc

Things not allowed in CUET 2024 exam centre

Here is the list of items students should not carry to the CUET 2024 exam centre. Students are advised to check the list below:

  • Electronic communication devices such as mobile phone, headphones, fitness band, pager, microphone, etc

  • Any printed or written material such as paper, books, etc

  • Calculator, Geometry box, Pencil box, etc

  • Metallic items such as chains, jewellery, rings, etc

  • Food or any such edible items

CUET Dress Code for Male 2024

Here is the list of things male candidates must ensure:

  • Avoid wearing full sleeve shirts, jackets, hoodies, belts, chain or any other metallic items.
  • Students are required to light coloured clothes to the CUET exam centre.

CUET Dress Code 2024 Female

CUET dress code for female candidates are as follows:

  • Avoid the following items:
    • Scarf
    • headbands
    • hair clips
    • Jewellery
    • cosmetic items
  • Wear light coloured clothes and wear open sandals and slippers, instead of closed footwears.

Is jeans allowed in CUET?

Students appearing for CUET UG must be aware of why the dress code is implemented. The agency has set the rules to make the checking process easier for the responsible personnels. As long as the clothes follow the CUET dress code and do not hinder the security checking process, students are allowed to wear whatever they feel comfortable in.

CUET 2024 dress code - Cultural clothing

NTA has laid down rules for candidates with cultural wear. Those students are advised to arrive at least 2 hours before the scheduled reporting time to complete the frisking process without any hassle.

Note: Students who are weaning any metallic items that represent their faith or culture, must also report to the security staff early for proper checking. Otherwise, students may be asked to enter the exam centre without that item.

Lockets and pendants are allowed inside the exam centre of CUET, only if they are of faith or any other religious values. Even so, students must complete the security checking at least 2 hours prior to the scheduled time, otherise, they may be asked to leave the item outside the exam centre.
