BHU PET Counselling 2020 - Banaras Hindu University (BHU) will hold the BHU PET 2020 counselling procedure from the first week of July. The counselling of BHU PET 2020 will be held for the shortlisted candidates who have managed to pass BHU PET exam with good ranks. The whole procedure of BHU PET 2020 counselling will be in online mode. The BHU PET counselling 2020 will be conducted for admission in various postgraduate courses including M.A., M.Sc., M.Com. Candidates who will be shortlisted for admission will be issued an electronic call letter which they have to download by entering their username ID and password. The call letters for BHU PET counselling will be sent to the candidate’s registered email IDs/mobile numbers.
BHU PET 2020 will be conducted by Banaras Hindu University for candidates who wish to seek admission in various postgraduate programmes offered by the university. The online counselling of BHU PET 2020 will be done in various stages, therefore, candidates can go through 3 easy steps steps given below which explains the activities related to a day prior the BHU PET counselling 2020, on the day of the procedure and the day concluding the BHU PET counselling process.
Step 1: Online Preference Entry (on or after issue of Call Letter and before the Counselling Date): The shortlisted candidates will be sent an electronic call letter for admission which they can download by logging in. Every candidate is required to fill the Online Preference
Entry Form which will be available and active on the candidate’s online section/portal. In the online form, candidates will be required to give their preferences of the following:
Subject – This option will be applicable when candidates’ admissions to more than one
course is to be decided on the basis of their merit scores obtained in common tests.
Location Preference – This will be applicable only when a course is offered in more
than one location. Candidates will have to choose from the following locations – 1. Department or faculty of the main campus, 2. Rajiv Gandhi South Campus 3. Affiliated colleges.
Type of Seat – Candidates will have to specify if they want paid seats in case regular fee seats are full.
Step 2: Activity on the day of BHU PET 2020 Counselling:
Candidates can change their preference on the day of BHU PET counselling 2020 by
requesting the Counselling Centre/Venue Incharge for change.
After the After preference entry form is finalised, get its printout, sign it and submit it
along with other required original documents at the Verification Desk. Preference Entry Form once signed and confirmed by a Candidate on the Counselling Date shall be final and shall not be changed later.
After being provisionally admitted and getting all the documents verified by the
authorities, collect the Provisional Admission Letter from the Counselling Centre/ Venue Incharge at 10:00 am on the next day of Counseling.
The payment of the semester fee must be done before 4 pm of the day following the
BHU PET counselling date.
The tuition fee can be paid online via credit card/debit card through the online gateway
available on the Entrance Test Portal. It can also be paid at the fee counters (check the location of the nearest Fee Counter at the Counseling Centre/Venue)
Step 3: Activity on the next day of BHU PET Counselling 2020:
On the last day of BHU PET counselling 2020, candidates are required to pay the fee at the fee counters before 4 pm at the Counselling Centre/Venue Incharge. This step is not required if the fee is paid online. If any candidate fails to pay the fee, his/her allotted seat will be cancelled/withdrawn.

The electronic call letters for BHU PET counselling will not be sent via any post/courier.
Candidates need to check their mails for the same.
Candidates will be called for the counselling of BHU PET 2020 only when he/she
satisfies all the eligibility requirements, appears in the PET, qualifies in the Entrance Test and completes all formalities required for admission in the course.
The number of call letters will be nearly two-four times the number of seats available in
Admission is based strictly on merit index obtained in the Entrance Test.
Sometimes there may be technical reasons for non-delivery of Mails/SMS to
Candidates, therefore, candidates are advised to keep checking this article for any notifications, or, they can visit the official website too.
It is suggested that candidates give their order of preference carefully. No section of the
online preference form should be left blank by them. If any section is left blank, it will be presumed that candidate is not interested in that option.
Candidates will get another opportunity of making changes in the entries
made in the Online Preference Entry Form on the day of BHU PET 2020 counselling (prior to verification of documents).
Failure to pay the fees within the prescribed period given in the admission letter
will result in cancellation of the allotted seat.

The university has reserved some of the percentage of seats for candidates who belong to special/reserved categories. Given below is a table showing the breakup of the reservation provided to such candidates.
