BHU PET 2019 Exam Pattern – Marking Scheme

Listed below is marking scheme as per the exam pattern of BHU PET 2019. Candidates are to carefully go through the marking scheme so that they can devise a suitable answering strategy accordingly.

  • BHU PET exam pattern 2019 mentions that there are going to be 120 questions in total.

  • Each question will carry three marks. Maximum marks of the paper will be 360.

  • Each correct answer is to be awarded three marks.

  • As per BHU PET 2019 exam pattern, each incorrect answer will lead to a deduction of one mark.

  • Each non-attempted question will be given zero mark.

  • Improperly marked answers like (improper darkening of ovals, darkening more than one oval, line marks, tick marks, cross marks, etc.) will be considered incorrect and hence, will lead to a deduction of one mark each.

How to answer in the BHU PET 2019 Exam

Candidates taking BHU PET 2019 must carefully go through the following instructions of answering in the exam.

  • BHU PET 2019 candidates will be given a separate question and answer booklet. After receiving the question booklet, candidates must check if it has all the pages and questions in correct order. They must intimate the invigilator about discrepancies, if any.

  • Candidates are supposed to write their roll numbers, set numbers, and question booklet numbers in the given spaces. Also, they have to fill their roll numbers by darkening the correct ovals.

  • Candidates must fill all the details correctly to avoid wrong evaluation or disqualification from the exam. Non-filling of any section can lead to non-evaluation of the answer paper.

  • BHU PET allows candidates to use only blue/black ink/ball point pen.

  • The paper will be MCQ based and each question will have four options. Candidates are to darken the oval for the correct option. Answers with improperly darkened ovals or more than one darkened oval will be considered incorrect and lead to a deduction of one mark each.

  • Therefore, candidates have to be extra cautious while darkening ovals on the OMR sheet. Errors made once cannot be rectified later owing to negative marking applicable on improper marking of the ovals.

  • If a candidate does not know the answer to a question, he/she is to leave it rather than marking the answer on the basis of guesswork. Non-attempted questions will be anyway given zero mark.

  • For rough work, candidates are to use the inner cover page or the blank page or space of the question paper.

  • Candidates are strictly advised to not tear or remove pages from the question booklet, else they will be penalized.
