BHU PET Exam Pattern 2019 – Banaras Hindu University has released BHU PET 2019 exam pattern along with official notification on February 10, 2019. The exam pattern of BHU PET 2019 states the mode of exam, question paper structure, type and number of questions, duration, important topics, and so on of BHU PET. Candidates who seek admissions into M.A., M.Com., M.Sc. courses offered by BHU must go through the below mentioned BHU PET exam pattern 2019 to get an idea of the question paper. As per BHU PET 2019 exam pattern, the exam will be MCQ based and conducted in online mode. Since the exam pattern of BHU PET 2019 specifies that there is going to be negative marking, candidates are advised to be careful while answering the questions. Listed below is marking scheme as per the exam pattern of BHU PET 2019. Candidates are to carefully go through the marking scheme so that they can devise a suitable answering strategy accordingly.
BHU PET exam pattern 2019 mentions that there are going to be 120 questions in total.
Each question will carry three marks. Maximum marks of the paper will be 360.
Each correct answer is to be awarded three marks.
As per BHU PET 2019 exam pattern, each incorrect answer will lead to a deduction of one mark.
Each non-attempted question will be given zero mark.
Improperly marked answers like (improper darkening of ovals, darkening more than one oval, line marks, tick marks, cross marks, etc.) will be considered incorrect and hence, will lead to a deduction of one mark each.
Candidates taking BHU PET 2019 must carefully go through the following instructions of answering in the exam.
The Computer Based Test requires the candidate to sit on an allocated computer terminal (node) according to their Roll Number given on the the Admit Card of BHU PET 2019 at the allotted Test Centre. After the verification at the Test Centre is completed a computer terminal (node) indicating the roll number of the candidates will be allocated to each candidate.
Candidates have to login in the computer terminal using the login-ID and password given to them. The computer terminal allotted to the candidate will display the Welcome login screen, Candidate‟s photograph and Course Name and Course Code opted by the candidate.
After logging in, the candidate will be able to see the detailed instructions for the examination. Candidates are advised to go through the instructions carefully regarding the type of questions and marking scheme.The t est will begin at the designated time following which, the candidates will be able to proceed and see the questions on the computer screen.
For each question candidates will get four alternatives of answer. One of them would be correct. The candidate are required to mark the correct option as answer. Below the question and answer options, four (04) buttons titled as “SAVE AND NEXT”, “ SAVE AND MARKED FOR REVIEW”, “CLEAR RESPONSE” and “MARKED FOR REVIEW” will be available. There are two additional buttons titled as “BACK” and “NEXT” using which the candidate may move to next question or go back to previous question as desired.
If the candidate is certain about the correct answer to a question, they must select the right option by clicking on the space provided and thereafter SAVE the Answer by clicking “SAVE & NEXT” button. Candidate can also click on “SAVE
and MARKED for REVIEW” button, if they intend to review the answer later. Saving the answer is essential for evaluation. In case an answer is not saved by the candidate the same will not be evaluated.
If the candidate is not certain about the correct answer to a question and intends to revisit the question later, they must click on “MARKED FOR REVIEW” button. In such situation the question will not be evaluated as the answer has not been marked for review.
In case a candidate intends to change the previously saved answer of any question, they must first select the corresponding question from the Question Palette and then click on “CLEAR RESPONSE” button. Following this candidates must click on the desired option followed by clicking “SAVE & NEXT” button.
In case a candidate intends to skip a question, he/she may do so by clicking on “NEXT” button. It may be noted that “ BACK” and “NEXT” buttons are available for candidates to move to the next question or go back to previous question, as desired.
Given below are a few important instructions to be kept in mind on the BHU PET exam day. BHU PET 2019 candidates must have a look and follow them.
Firstly, candidates must not forget to carry their BHU PET 2019 admit cards and aadhaar cards (bank account no./passport no./any other valid government id/ration card no., if they do not own an aadhaar card), else they will not be allowed to sit for the exam.
Candidates are strictly advised to not tamper with their admit cards. Also, they must ensure that the photo on their admit cards match with their faces.
Candidates must report to the exam centre an hour before the commencement of exam. They will not be allowed in the exam centre after the commencement of the exam.
Candidates will not be allowed to leave until culmination of the exam.
BHU PET 2019 refrains candidates from bringing the following in exam hall – calculators, watch calculators, electronic diary, earphones, digital watch, alarm clock, licensed weapons, harmful tools, pager, fire arms, etc.
Candidates are strictly advised to not bring loose papers to exam hall.
