BHU PET Exam Pattern 2020 - Banaras Hindu University (BHU) is responsible to release the BHU PET 2020 exam pattern along with the admission notification. It is very important for candidates to go through the exam pattern of BHU PET 2020 in order to know the marking scheme, the structure of the question paper, type and number of the questions, duration, important topics etc. By knowing about the BHU PET marking scheme, candidates will be able to know which topics to prioritise and need more of their focus.

Since there will be a criteria of BHU PET negative marking, candidates are advised to be attentive while marking in their answer sheets. As per the exam pattern of BHU PET 2020, the questions will come in Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) form and will be conducted in online mode. Candidates must keep the BHU PET marking scheme in mind since there will be negative marking. BHU PET 2020 will be conducted as per the courses on different dates.

BHU PET will be conducted by Banaras Hindu University for candidates who wish to seek admission in postgraduate courses offered by the university. The BHU PET entrance exam will be held in the second week of May 2020.

The university has set a certain criteria for the marking scheme to be followed in the entrance examination for Pg courses. Listed below is the marking scheme of BHU PET which can be checked by the candidates to plan their preparation accordingly.

How to answer BHU PET 2020 exam?

Since the BHU PET exam will be held in computer-based mode, candidates must make sure they know the functionalities of the BHU PET question paper. Given below are the instructions that candidates can go through in order to know the details on how to answer the online examination.

  • A computer terminal (node) will be allotted to candidates after their admit card is verified in the examination centre.

  • Candidates will be needed to login using their login ID and password which will be provided by the invigilator.

  • After putting the login credentials, computer’s screen will show the welcome login screen, Candidate‟s photograph and Course Name and Course Code opted by the candidate.

  • Candidates are suggested to go through the instructions properly which will mention all the functionalities of the online examination.

  • Aspirants must select the right option by clicking on the space provided and thereafter SAVE the Answer by clicking “SAVE & NEXT” button. Candidate can also click on “SAVE and MARKED for REVIEW” button, if they intend to review the answer later.

  • If a candidate is not sure about the correct answer to a question and intends to revisit the question later, they must click on “MARKED FOR REVIEW” button. In such a situation the question will not be evaluated as the answer has not been marked for review.

  • In order to change the previously saved answer of any of the questions, corresponding questions from the Question Palette and then click on “CLEAR RESPONSE” button. Following this candidates must click on the desired option followed by clicking “SAVE & NEXT” button.

  • To skip a question, click on “NEXT” button. It must be noted that “BACK” and “NEXT” buttons are available for candidates to move to the next question or go back to previous question, as desired.

BHU PET 2020 Exam Day Guidelines

There are certain important instructions and guidelines to be kept in mind on the day of the BHU PET examination. BHU PET 2020 candidates must have a look and follow them.

  • Aspirants must not forget to carry their BHU PET 2020 admit cards and aadhaar cards (bank account no./passport no./any other valid government id/ration card no., if they do not own an aadhaar card) for ID proof. Failing to do so will result in the candidate's loss of chance to sit for the exam.

  • Candidates are strictly advised to not tamper with their admit cards. Also, they must ensure that the photo on their admit cards match with their faces.

  • Late-comers will not be allowed to enter the examination hall. Therefore, candidates must visit the centre half an hour before the commencement of the exam.

  • BHU PET 2020 refrains candidates from bringing any electrical devices such as calculators, watch calculators, electronic diary, earphones, digital watch, alarm clock, licensed weapons, harmful tools, pager, fire arms, etc.

for msc course in banaras hindu university eligibility criteria is students need to have a bachelors degree in relevant discipline. For M.Sc Zoology and M.Sc Botany, candidates must have also studied Chemistry at graduation level. as you have studied chemistry in b.sc course you are also eligible.
