Hello
Delhi University (DU) generally accepts mark sheets from recognized boards such as CBSE and NIOS for undergraduate admissions .
However , there are specific considerations to keep in mind :
1. Board Recognition : Both CBSE and NIOS are recognized by the Government of India . Thus , your marks from both boards are valid .
2. Subject Combination : DU usually requires that your final qualification reflects a complete set of subjects for the course you are applying to . If you have used NIOS to fulfill the eligibility criteria by completing additional subjects that were missing in your CBSE mark sheet , it should be acceptable .
3. Aggregate Calculation : DU will calculate your percentage based on the best four or required subjects , depending on the course . Ensure that the combination of subjects (from CBSE and NIOS) aligns with the eligibility criteria of the course you wish to pursue .
4. Document Submission : At the time of admission , you will need to submit both mark sheets (CBSE and NIOS) . DU might ask for an undertaking or clarification regarding why you appeared for additional subjects via NIOS .
5. Course Specific Rules : Some courses might have specific eligibility requirements . Double check the eligibility criteria for your desired course in DU’s admission .

Hello,
If you scored 49 marks in PCB and the cutoff for counseling is 50 , it is risky to increase your marks artificially. During counseling, the information you provide, including marks, is usually verified against your original mark sheet . If a discrepancy is found (e.g., 49 shown as 50), your admission can be canceled , and you might even face restrictions in future exams or counseling processes.
Suggesstions :-
Honesty is critical in such processes; misleading authorities can have long-term consequences.
Hope it helps !
