Students must have passed the Class 12th examination with the required percentage of marks in the required discipline to be eligible for admission to the UG programmes at VIT Chennai. Similarly, for VIT Chennai PG admission, students must hold a bachelor's degree with the required percentage of marks. Students can apply for VIT Chennai admission by 15th May 2026.

| B.Sc. Fashion Design | A pass with minimum overall aggregate of 60% in the qualifying examination. |

| B.Com. (Hons.) | A pass with minimum overall aggregate of 70% with Mathematics / Commerce / Accountancy as one of the subject in the qualifying examination. |

VIT Chennai Selection Process 2026
Admission is through merit and is based on the mentioned qualifying examination.
The applicants will be called for a Personal Interview (Hybrid Mode).
A rank list will be prepared on the basis of +2/HSC marks and Personal Interview.
