The NTA has shared an update on “X”, regarding the ongoing backlash by the students over the allocation of exam cities far off from their preferences. Earlier, the agency released the CUET centre allotment 2026 on April 29 at cuet.nta.nic.in. Several students were allotted cities far off or the other part of the states in the CUET UG 2026 city slip. Apart from this, students are also concerned about appearing for three subjects in a single shift.

The release of CUET exam allotment 2026 meant to ease students to prepare and travel for the exam prior to the exam dates. However, NTA has failed to assign cities for students based on their preferences in the CUET application form. Financial Burden - Candidates from lower class have to spend huge amount of money just to appear for the exam in other cities.
The NTA has announced a statement through its official handle on “X” stating that there are two primary reasons - large number of applicants and limited availability of CBT, for the discrepancies in the allotment of cities for students in few states. By acknowledging students concern over this issue, the agency has promised to resolve a solution to reduce the inconvenience for students within next couple days. NTA has asked the applicants to remain patient until they resolve the current problem.

Email NTA Officials - Candidates are required to send an email to the NTA officials at cuet-ug@nta.ac.in by submitting your application number, and name of the candidates to explain your situation.
Continue with Revision - As many students might have completed their preparation for CUET UG exam, applicants are advised to revise the CUET syllabus 2026 regularly based on their exam dates to score maximum marks.
Check for Updates Regularly - NTA has announced that they will resolve the ongoing problem and give an update shortly. Students are required to visit this article or CUET official website frequently at cuet.nta.nic.in.
