The Ministry of Education, Government of India has released the NIRF ranking 2025 for state public universities on September 4. The top 3 ranked state public universities based on NIRF ranking 2025 are Jadavpur University, Anna University and Panjab University. This year the University of Kashmir and Guahati University has secured a place in the top 10 spot on the NIRF state public university category for the first time. The ministry introduced the NIRF ranking system for the SPUs last year.
The Ministry of Education, Government of India, evaluates education institutions in India and ranks them under several parameters like learning & resources, research productivity, graduation outcome, teaching, perception, and outreach and inclusivity. The NIRF ranking 2024 aims to enhance transparency, efficiency, and to nurture competition. It allows candidates to explore the institutions based on their university and college preferences.
