The National Testing Agency has released the NCET 2026 seats in India on the website. As per the NTA and the NCTE website, the NCET total seats in 2026 are 17000. The details of each participating institution are available at the exams.nta.nic.in. The number of NCET ITEP seats in India may increase. For convenience, the NCET participating institutions are divided into four regional committees.

There are a total of 223 NCET participating institutions, including IITs, NITs, and RIEs. The NCET 2026 is conducted for admission in the 4-Year Integrated Teacher Education Programme in different Central/State Universities/Institutions.

The total NCET seats in India are 17000. This number may increase if a larger number of seats are included by the institutions. The NCET 2026 seat may also increase if ITEP adds more institutions. The NCET participating institutions offer three courses- BA BEd, BSc BEd and BCom BEd. Some of the participating colleges offer all three courses. While there are some others that offer either one or two courses.

Indian nationals belonging to certain categories (OBC-NCL, Gen-EWS, SC, ST/PwD/PwBD) are admitted under the seats reserved for them in accordance with the rules prescribed by the Government of India/State Government.
