Careers360: Tell us something about yourself.
Answer: I am a student at Chitkara University, Punjab. I'm pursuing a BE in CSE. Right now, I'm studying in my second year. I am passionate about traveling and love listening to music to destress.
Careers360: How did you come to choose your institution/university and what factors were instrumental in your choice?
Answer: Chitkara University was one of my top options when I applied for colleges, as when I researched universities' rankings, it stood out. I also knew a few people who were studying here, and they had great things to say about the infrastructure, teaching methodologies, and the crowd. It's a known fact that this university provides good facilities and great internships as well.
Careers360: What were the salient features of your admission process at your institution/university that struck you as unique?
Answer: The process was quite easy, and if there was any problem related to anything, the staff was always ready to help. The response from the university's side was great and welcoming.
Careers360: What is your take on the initial days at your institution/university campus considering that it is the time to build contacts, and understand the processes? Could you give details on the support given by the institute?
Answer: During the initial days, it's all about the type of people you meet, the professors who will help you in your journey, and how you decide to spend your time on campus.
The university has a friendly environment, and it's easy to talk to people on campus.
Careers360: Now that you are a part of your institution/university campus, what in your opinion are stand apart features of the institute that you think are really assets to building a student’s career and future?
Answer: Chitkara University placements and Internships are great, many well-known companies interview and hire students from the Chitkara campus every year, and the list keeps getting better every year. Also, the startup culture is very promising, and the university encourages students to look beyond the job market. Many of our seniors have successful businesses today with the help, guidance, and funding of the university.
Careers360: Could you give details on the industry connection that is inbuilt with the course at Chitkara University and its advantages?
Answer: Chitkara has connections all around India and globally as well. It helps students understand the workings of industries through masterclasses and workshops by industry experts. Through internships with the best companies, both in India and abroad, they help you connect with the best.
Careers360: How advantageous in your opinion is your institution/university alumni network connection and in which ways?
Answer: Alumni placed in great companies help increase the value of an institution. Chitkara has a great network of alumni, which also helps the current students of the university and guides them to give them a glimpse of what the work environment feels like.
Careers360: Internships are an integral part of any student’s life. Please talk about the internship process at your institution/university and how they lead to students being placement ready.
Answer: For CSE, the process involves a coding test and a logical reasoning test as well. After this round is cleared, the students are given the choice to choose companies according to their preferences. The companies then have their tests and interviews. The university helps you ace this too by guiding and training you through the year in communication and other skills.
Careers360: In a nutshell, could you sum up your experiences at your institution/university?
Answer: Being in Chitkara helped me a lot as an individual. Meeting new people, finding valuable connections, and learning new things every day. The campus life is great, and the teaching is fantastic. Overall, it's been a great experience studying here.
