EFLU Admission 2020 - The English and Foreign Languages University will conduct EFLU 2020 admission test on February 29 and March 1 for PG/PG Diploma/PhD courses and on April 12, 2020 for UG programmes. EFLU admit card 2020 for the registered candidates to sit in the examination has been made available from February 19,2020 for PG, Teacher Education Courses, Post Graduate Diploma in Translation and Research programmes, in online mode. For UG programmes, the hall ticket of EFLU 2020 will be released soon by the university. Earlier, the university had released the EFLU application form along with EFLU 2020 notification on December 17, 2019, in online mode. Candidates, who wished to seek admission in language-related courses and/or programmes offered by the University could fill EFLU application form 2020 till January 21. EFLU admission test 2020 for all programmes will be held across various examination centres in 23 cities of India.

EFLU is a national-level computer-based examination with a duration of two hours. The EFLU question paper 2020 consists of two sections, namely, objective and descriptive. The total marks allotted to EFLU 2020 exam is 100 marks. The admission in EFLU 2020 solely depends on the EFLU cut off criteria which consist of minimum marks to be scored by the candidates in EFLU exam 2020. The result and the cut off of ELU 2020 will be released in the month of May 2020.

The English and Foreign Languages University offers various UG and PG programmes which are related to English and other Foreign Languages. For UG programmes, EFLU offers a total of eight courses, for PG programmes, it offers a total of fourteen courses, while for Teacher Education and PhD programmes, it offers three and fifteen courses respectively.

EFLU Eligibility for B.A. Courses
Candidates appearing for admission to EFLU 2020 for B.A courses should have:
Passed in the 10+2/intermediate exam or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% (General/OBC) and 45% (SC/ST).
For B.Ed in English, candidates must have scored 50% marks (General/OBC) and 45% (SC/ST) as minimum aggregate in B.A. English or the same percentages for respective categories in M.A. English. Again, candidates yet to sit for the qualifying exam are subject to the aforementioned criteria for such candidates.
The aggregate must include the subject of English.
Candidates who are yet to appear for the qualifying exam must pass the exam by the admission time and scored the minimum percentage.
EFLU Eligibility for M.A. Courses
Candidates appearing for EFLU admission 2019 for M.A. courses should have:
A bachelor’s degree with 55% (General/OBC) and 50% (SC/ST) as minimum aggregate.
For PGDTE English, candidates must have passed M.A. English/English Literature/TESL/ELT/Linguistics with 55% (General/OBC) and 50% (SC/ST) as minimum aggregate. Candidates yet to appear for the qualifying examination have to refer to aforementioned criteria applicable to such candidates.
For PGDTA, candidates must have scored 55% (General/OBC) and 50% (SC/ST) in M.A. Arabic/Arabic Literature/Teaching of Arabic/Linguistics. Candidates who are appearing for the qualifying exam may go through the aforementioned requirements for such candidates.
For courses in Arabic, French, German, Russian, Hispanic language and literature, candidates must have obtained a bachelor’s degree in the respective language or bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a B1 level proficiency certificate equal to an advanced diploma in that language.
Candidates who still have to appear for the qualifying examination must pass the exam by the time of admission with the minimum aggregate.

The university had released the EFLU 2020 application form on December 17, 2019, in online mode. The last date to fill the application form of EFLU 2020 was January 21, 2020. Candidates must make sure they fill the EFLU application form 2020 properly and completely. The university does not provide any facility of correction in the candidates’ EFLU application form. Therefore, it is suggested that the candidates upload all the requisite documents in their EFLu application form 2020.
The candidates are given a secured getaway through which they can remit their EFLU 2020 application form fee. The remittance of the application fee of EFLU 2020 can be done via Debit Cards/Credit Card/Net Banking. The fee of EFLU application form differs as per the different reservations categories, which can be seen through the table given below.

The EFLU exam centres 2020 for the examination are located in 23 different cities all over India. The candidates can choose their preferred EFLU exam centre while filling out the application form of EFLU 2020. They can choose their examination centres according to their preferences and convenience. The candidates must know that the university will not entertain any application or request to change the EFLU exam centres 2020 in later stages, therefore, it is suggested that the candidates choose their examination centres properly. The candidates must also keep in mind that the university has all the rights to change the EFLU examination centre without any prior notice.
The candidates will be able to find all the information regarding their EFLU exam centre 2020 on their admit card including the exact location and the venue, duration of their EFLU examination and the time to report at the centre. It is advised that the aspirants reach the exam centre half an hour before the commencement of the EFLU online exam. Possession of any electrical devices such as mobile phones, smartwatches, pagers etc will result in the candidates losing their candidature.
The admit card of EFLU 2020 has been released on February 19, 2020 in online mode for PG, Teacher Education Courses, Post Graduate Diploma in Translation and Research programmes. The hall ticket of EFLU 2020 for UG programmes will be released soon by the university. In order to download the EFLU 2020 admit card, the candidates have to enter their login credentials (Username and Password). Aspirants must make sure they download multiple copies of their EFLU admit card. The admit card is a hall ticket with the help of which the candidates will be able to enter the examination centre. The EFLU admit card 2020 includes details such as the candidate’s name, roll number, exact venue and location of the examination centre, date and time of the EFLU examination.
The EFLU examination is computer-based with a duration of two hours. As per the EFLU exam pattern 2020, the paper is of 100 marks. The EFLU exam has two sections, namely, descriptive and objective. The candidates can read the points of exam pattern of EFLU 2019 given below.
For M.A. courses in Arabic language and literature, French language and literature, German language and literature, Hispanic language and literature, Russian language and literature, there are three sections - a. Objective type (40 marks) b. Pen and paper (descriptive) - 30 marks c. Oral (30 marks).
For B.A. (Hons.) in English, Arabic, French, German, Japanese, Russian, Spanish and B.ed in English - the question paper is of objective type and of 100 marks.
For M.A. courses in English, English Literature, Literatures in English, Comparative Literature, Linguistics, English Language Teaching, Hindi, computational linguistics, the paper is of objective type and contains 100 questions.
For PGDTE in English and PGDTA in Arabic, the paper is objective type and of 100 marks.
The English and Foreign Language University will announce the EFLU result in the first week of May 2020. The result of EFLU 2020 will be released in the form of admission lists including the name of the candidates. The aspirants who have applied for EFLU 2020 have to look out for their names, roll numbers and marks obtained in the EFLU exam. Those who are able to score minimum cut off marks are called for EFLU counselling.
The EFLU cut off 2020 includes the minimum marks that the candidates are supposed to score/acquire in their EFLU exam. The candidates who are able to score the minimum required marks are called for the counselling process.

The candidates who manage to acquire the required minimum cut off will be called for the EFLU 2020 counselling. The counselling process of EFLU 2020 will take place in the campus of the university in the last week of May 2020. Candidates will get all the EFLU counselling date and time in the admission lists that will be released by the university. It must be noted that the candidates are suggested to carry all the required official documents to the EFLU counselling 2020. Absence of any of the documents will result in the cancellation of the candidate’s EFLU admission process, even at the later stages. Candidates who do not show up on the mentioned venue and the prescribed time then the same seat will be offered to the next candidate on the waiting list.
