For example, let’s say a candidate attempts 45 questions out of 50:

• Correct Answers: 30

• Incorrect Answers: 15

• Unanswered Questions: 05

• Total Marks in CUET UG = (30 × 5) - (15 × 1) = 150 - 15 = 135

So, the candidate’s CUET total score would be 135 out of 250.

Candidates appeared for the CUET UG 2026 exam are advised to appear for the number of subjects applied by the candidate, to meet the maximum total marks of the CUET exam 2026.

• CUET Total Marks for 3 Subjects - the total marks of each individual subject is 250 marks and if candidates choose three subjects it will be 750. For every correct answer, 5 marks will be given.

• CUET Total Marks for 4 Subjects - the CUET UG total marks for four subjects is 1000.
