Number of Applicants: If there are more ST applicants, the competition rises, increasing the cutoff marks.
Difficulty Level of the Exam: If CUET paper is easy, a greater number of students score high, so the cutoff increases. If the paper is difficult, the cutoff normally decreases.
Availability of Seats: If there are fewer seats for the ST category in a college or course, the cutoff raises due to a lesser number.
Reservation Policy: ST students are given a certain number of reserved seats according to government policy, hence directly influencing the cutoff category-wise.
Course Popularity: Popular courses such as B.A. English, B.Com (Hons.), and Economics are much sought after, and hence, even for ST candidates, the cutoff may be on the higher side.
College Reputation: Prestigious colleges like Hindu, Miranda House, and St. Stephen's typically have a higher cutoff, even for reserved categories.
Performance of ST Candidates: If numerous ST students perform well in a specific year, the cutoff of that category will be increased.
Quota & Seat Matrix Changes: Additional quotas such as sports, ECA, or Kashmiri migrants can alter the overall number of seats on offer, which may indirectly impact the ST cutoff.
Note: Students who fail to present the document proving their ST category status at the time of CUET counselling, they will be considered as unreserved candidates.
