Careers360: Tell us something about yourself.

Answer: I am Diksha and I am a CSE student at Chitkara University. I am from Chandigarh. I'm interested in reading and writing.

Careers360: How did you come to choose your institution/university and what factors were instrumental in your choice?

Answer: The reason why I chose this university was that I wanted to study at a place that topped the national rankings of universities, and Chitkara University fulfilled that requisite. Also, the university has some of the best professors from all over India. Getting a degree from such an esteemed university will help me achieve my life goals. What attracted me the most visually was the beautiful architecture, highly qualified professors, and amazing environment.

Careers360: What were the salient features of your admission process at your institution/university that struck you as unique?

Answer: The Chitkara University admission process was easy. I was a bit confused about which stream to take. The counselors at the university guided me and helped me pick a stream after getting to know my interests. The admission process went smoothly. All thanks to the staff, they were really helpful.

Careers360: What is your take on the initial days at your institution/university campus considering that it is the time to build contacts, understand the processes? Could you give details on the support given by the institute?

Answer: In my initial days, I looked forward to speaking to other students. And teachers helped break that ice and introduce us to each other. Gradually, we built bonds and made lifelong friendships. We were made to feel safe with the kind of environment the university provides, and through clubs and events, we also got to meet students from different streams. It was a refreshing and comfortable start.

Careers360: Now that you are a part of your institution/university campus, what in your opinion are stand apart features of the institute that you think are really assets to building a student’s career and future?

Answer: The most important assets of the university are our professors. They lead us in the best possible manner. They provide students with opportunities. They help students become more creative and innovative and think outside the box. Professors inspire with their experience and knowledge. Those are the real building blocks for a student's career and future. It is pertinent to also mention here that the great infrastructure, state-of-the-art labs and workshops, and library all contribute to enriching a student’s life.

Careers360: Could you give details on the industry connection that is inbuilt with the course at Chitkara University and its advantages?

Answer: The university helped us establish contact with industry experts. Industrial instructors connect and engage with the students throughout the session. They help us acquire practical knowledge about subjects. Experts like these are invaluable. They inspire us and help us be more positive versions of ourselves. We have masterclasses and workshops with these industry stalwarts that help us stay focused and abreast of the latest trends and technologies in our field, which helps us stay ahead of the game.

Careers360: How advantageous in your opinion is your institution/university alumni network connection and in which ways?

Answer: Alumni of the university are kind and knowledgeable. They guide us with their experience and bring us hands-on knowledge. They also assist us in establishing more contacts and give references wherever required. And most importantly, they give us the confidence that we can achieve anything if we put our minds to it. Seeing them spread around the world doing great in their chosen fields gives us confidence in a bright future.

Careers360: Internships are an integral part of any student’s life. Please talk about the internship process at your institution/university and how they lead to students being placement ready.

Answer: The internship process at the university is very student-friendly. Counselors and coaches help students understand their strengths and weaknesses and work on them. They assist us in finding the perfect internship after learning about our knowledge and skills. An aptitude test Is provided by the university that helps us know where our level of knowledge lies, then choose the perfect internship for us. They also guide us throughout the year on how to enhance and work on skills that will help us get good internships.

Careers360: In a nutshell, could you sum up your experiences at your institution/university?

Answer: My experience at Chitkara University has been great. Everyone is polite and humble. The university campus is gorgeous, with lots of greenery around. Classmates are helpful, professors are knowledgeable, alumni are always ready to guide and assist, and most importantly, the crowd is really good.
