With the release of CUET city intimation slip 2025 on May 7, the National Testing Agency has allowed students to check their exam cities, along with the exam dates and exam shifts. It has come to our attention that there is confusion regarding the CUET exam dates. One student who is appearing for CUET accountancy paper 2025 from Hyderabad told Careers360 that his exam date is mentioned as May 16.

However, another student who is also appearing for the same subject from Delhi told us that the same subjects’ exam is on May 14. Naturally, the first question that arises is why this difference in dates is being shown. Since, earlier this year, then UGC Chairman Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar announced through an official notification that CUET 2025 will not follow any normalisation process. What is Normalisation in CUET?

CUET normalisation process is implemented to ensure that all the students are equally judged even when they write the exam on different dates or on different shifts. As CUET is conducted in various sessions and each session is likely to have a marginally different question paper, there are chances that certain papers are simpler or tougher compared to others. So that a student does not get an advantage or disadvantage which is unfair compared to the others, the National Testing Agency (NTA) normalises marks through a formula.

Will there be Normalisation in CUET 2025?

Now that the CUET 2025 city intimation slip has been announced on May 7, students have noticed discrepancies in exam dates for the same paper. For instance, a student in Hyderabad has Accountancy on May 16, whereas one from Delhi has it on May 14. That has left students questioning fairness, particularly since the NTA declared that normalisation will not be applied this year. Without normalisation, students fear that those who receive difficult question papers may be at a disadvantage.

The National Testing Agency implemented the CUET normalisation process in the past since there is no way to conduct an exam in two different days without compromising the difficulty level of the paper. If the exam papers remain the same it would not be fair to the students appearing on the first day of exams, making it an unviable choice.

What NTA Said About CUET Normalisation 2025

The National Testing Agency has announced that there would not be any normalisation process. It has created confusion among students as dates for the same CUET papers show different dates for students from different cities.

Awaiting NTA Clarification Regarding CUET Normalisation 2025

HELLO,

Yes, you can give CUET exam 2026 if you want to take admission in second year of BA program. The Entrance Test (CUET) is for admission to undergraduate courses. However , the eligibility for the CUET UG exam will be based on your class 12th qualifications.

You will need to keep in mind like if you get admission to the new institution based on your CUET score then don't forget to cancel your enrollment number or admission at your current college.

Hope this Helps!

Hello,

Delhi University (DU) offers various engineering courses under its Department of Technology.

Admission to these courses is primarily based on the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main scores. However, some courses may also consider CUET (Common University Entrance Test) scores for admission.

The exact number of seats filled through CUET scores can vary each year and are not publicly disclosed.

Hope it helps !

Admissions for CUET aren't solely based on 2 Non-Med Percentage along with JEE Mains percentile. The eligibility criteria for CUET require students to have scored at least 50% marks in their Class 12th exam for general candidates and 45% for reserved categories.

Additionally, CUET has its own exam pattern, which includes multiple-choice questions divided into three sections:

- Section 1: Language proficiency(English/Hindi/regional languages)

- Section 2: Domain-specific subjects

- Section 3: General Aptitude

It's also important to note that while JEE Mains is a separate entrance exam, some universities may consider both CUET and JEE Mains scores for admission to certain programs. However, the specific admission criteria may vary depending on the university and course.

To confirm the admission criteria for your desired course, I recommend checking the official websites of the participating universities or contacting them directly.
