SRMIST’s Aaruush ’26 Positions India’s Next Generation of Learners at the Forefront of Technology & Innovation

India’s next generation of innovators, engineers and technology enthusiasts took centre stage at Aaruush ’26, the 20th edition of the national techno-management fest organised by SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST). Built around the theme “Towards Infinity”, the landmark edition brings together emerging technologies, student innovation and real-world problem-solving on a national platform.

Aaruush ’26 provides students and visitors with opportunities to experience emerging technologies, engage with innovations and explore their practical applications.

A major technology showcase brought together drones, robotics, autonomous systems, defence technology and immersive technologies, offering visitors a close-up view of innovations across mobility, education, defence and exploration. The Hutark Drone Expo featured live FPV demonstrations, while Skydrone, Jatayu and AXSX Telescopes presented innovations spanning aerial systems, automation and exploration.

The exhibits also featured DRDO’s BMP-2 Tanker, Bumblebee, RoboDog and Robotic Interactive Suit, along with a Hoverboard and immersive VR experiences, highlighting the convergence of engineering, defence innovation, automation and immersive technology.

Visitors also explored a diverse range of technology-driven exhibits and hands-on demonstrations by SRMIST teams, including Team Rudra and Team Envision. From custom-built drones and FPV systems to rockets, robotics and immersive experiences, the displays highlighted student creativity, engineering and the practical applications of emerging technologies through events such as Quadcopter and RoboLeague.

The event further highlighted autonomous systems and intelligent mobility. Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs), capable of self-navigation and wireless control, demonstrated the possibilities of smart automation, while a compact self-balancing electric mobility platform showcased potential applications in campus transportation and autonomous delivery. Cabi Robot, a multilingual, IoT-enabled STEM companion, further highlighted the potential of robotics and connected technologies in interactive education and learning.

The landmark 20th edition was inaugurated in the presence of eminent academic, industry and technology leaders. Prof. C. Muthamizhchelvan, Vice Chancellor, SRMIST, delivered the Presidential Address, while Mr. Dominic Gerald David, President, KLA India, delivered the Inaugural Address and reflected on the significance of the theme, “Towards Infinity”. Ms. Guncha Malik, STSM, IBM CISO Office, and Dr. Michelle Johnson, Professor, University of Pennsylvania and Visiting Professor at SRMIST, also shared their perspectives on technology, curiosity and interdisciplinary thinking.

Distinguished guests and delegates were felicitated by Prof. C. Muthamizhchelvan, Vice Chancellor; Dr. S. Ponnusamy, Registrar; and Dr. Leenus Jesu Martin M, Dean, College of Engineering and Technology, in the presence of Dr. Varshini Karthik, Chairman and Convenor, Aaruush ’26, and other dignitaries.

With prizes worth over Rs 10 lakh across flagship events including Industrial Conclave, E-Summit, SRM Run, LANstorm, T-Summit, 17-Domains, Pro-Shows and Hack Summit, Aaruush ’26 brings together technology, entrepreneurship, management, innovation and competition on one platform.
