Sri RamaKrishna Mission Vidyalaya College of Arts and Sciences (SRMVCAS) has recorded the major downfall in NIRF college rankings from 48th rank in 2021 to 94th rank in 2025 with a decline of 46 positions. Being one of the popular DU south campus colleges, Jesus & Mary College saw a decline of 44 positions from 41st rank in 2021 to 85th rank in 2025. Similarly, Shaheed Rajguru Colllege of Applied Sciences for Women (SRCASW) and Kamala Nehru College also recorded decline in its ranking from 37 in 2021 to 65 in 2025 with a difference of 28 positions for SRCASW and 33 in 2021 to 58 in 2025 with a difference of 25 positions for Kamala Nehru College.

Students can choose their dream college by considering the NIRF ranking as one of the major factors. However, the ranking for one year does not explain the exact factors as the NIRF ranking changes every year.
For instance, Ferguson College recorded 96th rank in 2021 and in 2025 it is ranked at 57th rank. The college has gained 39 positions along with popularity over the the past five years. Sri Krishna Arts and Science College was ranked at 27th position in 2021 and its ranking has been decreased to 50th position in 2025.
