Jadavpur University Counselling 2018

Jadavpur University 2018 Counselling will begin on July 23, 2018, after the declaration of the entrance examination results. After checking their ranking, candidates must look out for the Counselling date in the official university website. Candidates will be required to present themselves in person for the Counselling on the date, time and place which will be announced beforehand. The purpose of doing so is to claim admission to one’s choice of course which will be granted on the basis of his / her rank. The following documents will be required for the Counselling of Jadavpur University 2018:

The application process for Admission in Jadavpur University 2018 is entirely online. However, certificates for sports category, OBC category and PwD category will have to be sent to the University separately.

The application filling of Jadavpur University Admission 2018 is a three-step process which is given below:

  • Visit the official University website and enter the Admission portal.

  • Enter your personal and educational information carefully.

  • Click ‘Submit’ and note down your unique registration code for further use.

  1. Choose the desired course/programme

  • Before applying for any undergraduate course, it is advised to check the eligibility criteria for that particular course to avoid any misinterpretations in the future.

  • Choose the course/programme you wish to apply for and click ‘Apply’.

  • Each time you apply for a different course/programme, a new Application Number will be generated. Application Number(s) must be noted down carefully.

  1. Online Payment

  • The link for online payment will be available on the Main Page. The online payment can be processed via SBI I-Collect system using any of the following methods:

  • Net Banking

  • Credit Card

  • Debit Card

  • After payment of application fee using any of the above-mentioned methods, upload the SB Collect Reference No. and click ‘Submit’.

  1. Candidates belonging to OBC and PwD category, and applying through Sports quota must submit attested photocopies of the certificates with a copy of online payment receipt at the address given below:

Application Fee: The application fee for admission in Jadavpur University 2018 is INR 150 for candidates of all categories. Fee payment can be done through credit card/debit card/net banking.

 

Jadavpur University Admit Card 2018

The Jadavpur University 2018 Admit Card will be generated after the completion of the application fee payment procedure. After submitting the fee details the admit card for the different subjects applied by the candidate will be displayed. Candidates can then download the admit card for the subjects they have applied for. On the day of the test, candidates must make sure to paste two self-attested photographs on the admit card.

*Candidates who have passed the Higher Secondary or its equivalent examination (under 10+2 system) through a correspondence course from a recognized Board/Council, must appear for a Preliminary Qualifying Test (PQT) for admissions to BA (Honours) in Economics, History, Sanskrit and Sociology.

 

Documents required for Jadavpur University Admission 2018

  • Original High School or equivalent examination mark-sheet and certificate, along with a photocopy thereof.

  • Original Intermediate or equivalent examination mark-sheet and certificate, along with a photocopy thereof.

  • Original Aadhaar card or any other proof of identification and a photocopy thereof.

Jadavpur University 2018 Admission: Highlights

  • Admission to undergraduate courses/programmes in the FET is through the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination, directed by an independent body, followed by counselling.

  • For admission to the undergraduate courses/programmes in the Faculty of Arts, a combination of merit (i.e. results at the Higher Secondary level) and entrance test is used. Departments are free to decide upon their individual admission criteria.

  • For admission to the undergraduate courses/programmes in the Faculty of Science, admission at the undergraduate level is based on merit.

  • Admission process for Under Graduate Courses will begin as soon as the results for +2 West Bengal Board examination is declared.

  • The application process for Admission in Jadavpur University 2018 is entirely online. However, certificates for Sports quota, OBC and PwD category must be sent, with a copy of online payment receipt, to the University separately.
