1. Nationality & Domicile
Nationality: Must be an Indian citizen.
Domicile Status: Candidates from both Maharashtra State (MS) and Other State / All India (OMS) categories are welcome to apply. However, reservation benefits apply strictly to Maharashtra domiciled candidates.
2. Educational Background
Approved Streams: You must hold a 3-year Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Sciences, Mathematics, Social Sciences, Commerce, or Humanities.
Technical Streams: Graduates from Engineering, Technology, IT, Agriculture, Law, Management, or Medical Sciences backgrounds are also eligible.
Final-Year Candidates: Students currently completing their final year of graduation are also eligible to apply.
3. Minimum Percentage Requirements
Humanities / Sciences / Commerce / Social Sciences: Open Category (General) & All-India (OMS) Candidates: Minimum 50% marks in aggregate.
Reserved Categories (SC/ST/OBC/SBC from Maharashtra only): Minimum 45% marks in aggregate.
Technical / Professional Degrees (Engineering, Management, etc): Open Category: Minimum 55% marks in aggregate.
Reserved Categories (Maharashtra only): Minimum 50% marks in aggregate.
Aspirants are strongly suggested to check that their chosen college is strictly approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). As per the regulation, graduates who have completed NCTE approved BEd courses are eligible to apply for the government recruitment process.
