Bridging the academia–industry gap has become imperative in preparing students for a dynamic, technology-driven workforce. In this context, the East Point Group of Institutions hosted EPILC 2026, bringing together leading industry experts to deliberate on collaborative strategies for building future-ready talent.
Bengaluru: The East Point Group of Institutions successfully hosted EPILC 2026 – the East Point Industry Leadership Conclave, a landmark initiative aimed at fostering innovation, collaboration, and meaningful knowledge exchange between academia and industry. Centred on the theme “Shaping the Future Workforce,” the conclave brought together senior executives from leading global organisations across sectors such as banking, networking, cloud computing, semiconductors, and product engineering.
The event featured a high-impact panel discussion titled “Building Sustainable Talent Pipelines: The Role of Institutions in a Changing Workforce,” where industry leaders shared valuable insights into the evolving dynamics of fresher hiring. The discussion highlighted that learning agility, adaptability, and problem-solving skills are now as essential as technical expertise in today’s competitive job market.

Panellists emphasised the need for continuous curriculum enhancement, stronger industry integration, and experiential, project-based learning aligned with real-world applications. A key takeaway from the conclave was that sustainable talent pipelines are built through long-term institutional partnerships rather than one-time recruitment drives. With emerging technologies rapidly redefining job roles, the importance of aligning academic frameworks with industry expectations was strongly reinforced.
EPILC 2026 witnessed an overwhelming response, with over 90% partnership intent recorded among participating organisations. The event also achieved an impressive satisfaction rating of 4.7 out of 5, reflecting strong industry endorsement for campus hiring initiatives and collaborative engagement with the institution.
Mr Rajiv Gowda, CEO, East Point Group of Institutions, Said, “EPILC 2026 was envisioned as a leadership dialogue rather than a placement-driven event. As industries evolve at an unprecedented pace, our focus is to ensure that education extends beyond classrooms and remains closely connected to real-world demands. We are committed to building a consistent and dependable talent pipeline that the industry can rely on year after year.”
A distinctive highlight of the conclave was the active involvement of student placement coordinators, who engaged directly with industry delegates. This initiative reflects the institution’s emphasis on nurturing leadership capabilities while providing students with valuable corporate exposure within the campus environment.
Overall, EPILC 2026 emerged as a powerful platform for dialogue, insight, and action, reinforcing the growing importance of structured industry–academia collaboration as a key driver in shaping a future-ready workforce in India.
