DU SOL Eligibility Criteria 2023 - The School of Open Learning, University of Delhi will specify the DU SOL 2023 eligibility criteria for the various programmes offered by the university in the distance learning mode. The candidates should go through the eligibility criteria for DU SOL 2023 carefully before filling out the DU SOL admission form. The detailed DU SOL eligibility criteria 2023 will be released in July along with the admission form on DU SOL's website - dol.du.ac.in. Delhi University laid down the DU SOL 2023 eligibility criteria mentioning the academic qualifications and personal requirements that candidates must satisfy to get enrolled in their desired course. The SOL admission eligibility criteria consists of various factors such as age requirements, mark sheets, and certificates of the last qualifying examination. As per the SOL admission criteria, there is no age restriction for candidates. However, candidates are required to have a certain minimum percentage of marks to be considered eligible for admission.

DU SOL 2023 Eligibility Criteria for UG Courses

Courses

Eligibility Criteria

BA programmes

The criteria are 40% or above in qualifying exams required for general candidates, 36% or above required for OBC, and 38% or above for PWD candidates. For SC/ST candidates, a pass in 10+2 is required.

B.Com programmes

The criteria are 40% or above in aggregate in any one of the qualifying examinations, 36% or above for OBC, 38% or above in aggregate for PWD candidates. For SC/ST candidates, minimum passing marks in any of the qualifying examinations.

BA (Hons) in Political Science

The criteria are 50% marks in aggregate or above in qualifying exams with one language+three academic subjects for general candidates. 45% marks in aggregate or above in qualifying exams with one language+three academic subjects for OBC candidates. 47.5% marks in aggregate or above in the qualifying exam with one language(only English)+three academic subjects) for PWD candidates. A minimum pass in 10+2 is required along with one language (only English)+three academic subjects) for SC/ST candidates.

(Note: Vocational stream is not allowed)

BA(Hons) in English

The criteria are 65% or above in aggregate with at least 75% marks in English as core subject or 65% marks in English Elective/Functional English (One language at least (English only) + three academic subjects) for general candidates. 58.5% marks or above in aggregate with at least 67.5% marks in English as a core subject in the qualifying exam or 58.5% marks in English Elective/Functional English (One language at least ((English only) + three academic subjects) for OBC candidates. 61.75% marks in aggregate or above in the qualifying exam with 71.25% in English Core or 61.75%marks in English elective/Functional English (with at least one language(only English)+three academic subjects) for PWD candidates. A minimum pass in 10+2 is required along with one language (only English)+three academic subjects) for SC/ST candidates.

(Note: Vocational stream is not allowed)

B.Com (Hons) Commerce

The criteria are 55%marks in aggregate or above in the qualifying exam, 60%marks or above in vocational stream in the qualifying

exam for general candidates. 49.5%marks or above in aggregate the qualifying exam, 54%marks or above in vocational stream in the qualifying exam for OBC candidates. 52.5%marks or above in aggregate in the qualifying exam, 60%marks or above in vocational stream in the qualifying exam for PWD candidates. A minimum passing mark in any of the qualifying examinations.

DU SOL Eligibility Criteria for PG Courses

M.A (History)

The criteria are B.A. (Hons) pass in History from the University of Delhi with 60% marks or above. For admission through entrance based, the following criteria are required -

(i) B.A. (Hons) in History from the DU with 50% marks and less than 60%.

(ii) B.A. (Hons) in History other than DU with 55% marks.

(iii) B.A. (Pass) from DU with 55% or above marks and 55% in history subject.

(iv) B.A. (Pass) from other universities than DU with 60% or above marks in aggregate.

(v) B.A. (Hons) in any subject other than history from other universities and DU with 55% or above marks in the aggregate.

(vi) B.Sc (Pass or Hons); B.Com. (Pass or Hons) from other universities or DU with 60% or above marks in aggregate.

(vii) Master’s degree in other than history subject from DU or recognized university with 65% marks in M.Com or M.Sc or with 55% marks in M.A. in social sciences or humanities.

M.A (Political Science)

The criteria is B.A. (Hons) pass in Political Science from the University of Delhi with 60% marks or above in honors. For admission through entrance based, the following criteria are required -

(i) B.A. (Hons) in Political Science from DU with 50% marks and above.

(ii) B.A. (Hons) in Political Science other than DU with 55% marks or above.

(iii) B.A. (Programme) from DU with 55% or above marks having political science subject with minimum 50% marks in Political Science.

(iv) B.A. (Pass) from other universities than DU with 60% in aggregate and having political science as one of the subjects with a minimum of 60% marks in political science.

(v) B.A. (Hons) in Humanities and Social Sciences including L.L.B. / Journalism and Mass Communication / Education/ Sociology/ History/ Geography/ Literature/ English/ Modern Indian Languages/ Philosophy/ Psychology/ B.El.Ed. from DU with 55% or above marks in the aggregate.

(vi) B.Sc (Pass or Hons); B.Sc in Applied Sciences; from DU with 70% marks and B.Com. (Pass or Hons) from DU with 75% or above marks in aggregate.

(vii) B.Sc (Pass or Hons); B.Sc in Applied Sciences; from other universities with 75% marks and B.Com. (Pass or Hons) from other universities with 80% marks in aggregate.

(viii) Master’s degree in other than Political Science subject from DU or recognized university with 70% marks in M.Sc or M.Com with 75% and 55% marks in M.A. in social sciences or humanities.

(ix) B.A. (Hons) in Humanities and Social Sciences including L.L.B. / Journalism and Mass Communication / Education/ Sociology/ History/ Geography/ Literature/ English/ Modern Indian Languages/ Philosophy/ Psychology/ B.El.Ed. from other universities with 60% or above marks in the aggregate.


M.A. (Hindi)

The candidates need to have a minimum passing mark in bachelor’s degrees.

M.Com

The criteria for admission through an entrance, cum merit-based are described as follows-

(i) Pass in B.Com (Hons) from DU or other universities equivalent to DU with a minimum of 50% marks.

(ii) Pass in B.Com (general) from DU or other universities equivalent to DU with a minimum of 55% marks.

(iii) Pass in B.A. (Hons) in Economics from DU or any university equivalent to DU with a minimum of 50% marks.

(iv) B.B.S., B.B.A., B.B.E., AND B.I.F.A. from DU or any university with 60%marks.

DU SOL Application Form 2023

The university will release the DU SOL 2023 PG application form in July in online mode. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can fill and submit the DU SOL application form 2023 till the submission deadline. The candidates need to fill their personal details and academic qualifications in the DU SOL application form. They also need to upload the scanned image of the required documents in the DU SOL 2023 application form.
