Careers360 brings you an interview with Kaushik Tiwari, student at VGI Greater Noida. She is a 1st year student pursuing her Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) from Vishveshwarya Group of Institutions. Careers360. Tell us something about yourself such as from which place are you from?
Kaushik. I am a student of Bachelor of Pharmacy at Vishveshwarya College of Pharmacy. I am from Kanpur Uttar Pradesh currently residing in Vasundhara Ghaziabad.
Careers360. Presently which course are you pursuing and in which year are you?
Kaushik. I am pursuing a bachelor of pharmacy and I am in 1st year and semester 1.
Careers360. Did you face any difficulty in the initial months when you joined the institute?
Kaushik. Some minor difficulties were there as Ihave to travel a lot to get to the college. It was hard to manage at first but now I have gotten used to it.

Careers360. Describe a typical day at your institute. What do you do from the time you wake up till you go to sleep?
Kaushik. I wake up at 7 AM and get ready by 8.30 AM. Then I catch my bus at 9.10 AM to college. I reach at 10 AM and join my 1st class. Recess starts at 12.40 PM, during which I join my friends for lunch. Lunch break is over at 1.30 PM and the classes resume after that till 4.50 PM. I get on my bus to home at 5.10 PM and reach my destination by 7 PM. Then I meet my best friend and we go home together. At night I talk to my parents and share with them my day’s story, then I revise the class work, have my dinner, and then go to sleep.
Careers360. Tell us about the faculty-student ratio here and the teacher-student relationship in your understanding.
Kaushik. In my course, each teacher has 50 to 80 students in their class. But not all teachers are the same. Some teachers are very good in their subject content as well as in a behavioral way. They are an actual source of inspiration for us to do better and improve ourselves.

Careers360. What all facilities do you have on campus? What do you like here the most which you feel is unique and differentiating?
Kaushik. VGI campus has a library facility, laboratories, playground, indoor games, hostel, and cafeteria. The campus has a peaceful environment both for studies and leisure.
Careers360. How comfortable are your hostels and how about the cleanliness factor over there?
Kaushik. Being a day scholar I don't have a hostel for myself but my friends from the hostel mentioned that the meal facility and room facility are good. The hostel is very strict in rules and regulations to ensure the safety and decent grooming of the students. There are some students who by nature don’t like to follow rules for them hostel life is like a curfew, but from the college’s part and what other students describe the hostel facility is quite satisfactory.
Careers360. What about the medical facilities? Can you avail requisite medical attention if needed in an emergency?
Kaushik. The medical facility is good and quite sincere, we have a sick room, doctor, and complete arrangements for any medical emergency.

Careers360. How do you balance your studies, projects, exams, and other activities?
Kaushik. I pre-plan every day and every hour of my time according to the need of tasks. As planning is the key to success. Also, I avoid procrastination to stay stress-free and avoid last-minute havoc.
Careers360. Is there any in-house magazine or journal for the latest events or happenings at the institute?
Kaushik. Yes, there is a journal for the college. It is a wonderful platform for students to express themselves through writing. In the coming years, I would like to be an active member of the college journal.

Careers360. What are the popular hangouts at the institute? What, according to you, are the most-visited places nearby?
Kaushik. students usually hang out at the cafeteria or Nescafe during the time of recess or free period. These two are the most visited places.
Careers360. How do you spend your leisure time on campus?
Kaushik. Me and my friends record some fun reporting videos interviewing some random students and sometimes teachers on a random topic. In which my friend and I act like reporters.
