    Vishveshwarya Group of Institutions (VGI) was established in the year 2000. VGI Greater Noida has a 65 acres beautiful campus with lush green lawns. The institute offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the field of Engineering, Pharmacy, Agriculture, Education, Law, Mass Communication & Journalism and Fashion Design. Some of the courses offered at VGI are B.Tech, BBA, B.Pharm, MBA, LLB, M.Tech, etc. Admission to Vishveshwarya Group of Institutions is offered to candidates who meet the VGI programme eligibility criteria and appear for the VGI Greater Noida selection process.

She is a 1st year student pursuing her postgraduate degree in Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Vishveshwarya Group of Institutions. In this interview, Pallavi shares her experience of the college. What is student life like at VGI Greater Noida? How did she choose the Vishveshwarya Group of Institutions MBA programme?     Careers360. Tell us something about yourself such as from which place are you from?

    Pallavi. I am from village Chitehara, city Dadri, District Gautam Buddh Nagar.

    Careers360. Presently which course are you pursuing and in which year are you?

    Pallavi. Presently, I am a 1st year MBA student at VGI Greater Noida, and I have also completed my BBA from this college.

    Careers360. Did you face any difficulty in the initial months when you joined the institute?

    Pallavi. Since the initial years of my BBA, the college environment has been supportive, be it the faculty members or the seniors; whatever kind of help is needed has always been provided here at Vishveshwarya. Now, as a student of MBA, despite being a day scholar, I feel as if the campus is my home. Everybody knows me now, and I am also well-versed in the customs and culture of our college.

    Careers360. What activities are offered at the institute? Are there any clubs for the various extracurricular activities? Which ones have you taken up and are a part of?

    Pallavi. Our college often comes up with various curricular activities to enhance the personalities and confidence of the students. We have a club named SPADE in our management department where we have different clubs related to sports, art, literature, and various other creative fields.

    Careers360. Describe a typical day at your VIG. What do you do from the time you wake up till you go to sleep?

    Pallavi. I wake up at 6.30 AM and freshen up to get ready for college until 9.30 AM, then I take breakfast and reach college at 10.10 AM, and from 10.10 AM I take my classes until 4.40 PM. Then I get back home and take some rest, and after that, I go for a walk to maintain my physical fitness. Then I do some household chores and have dinner with my family. After which my study hours begin. Around 11 PM, I go to sleep, but before dozing off, I like to spend some time on the phone, either chatting or searching for something of interest.

    Careers360. Tell us about the faculty-student ratio here and the teacher-student relationship in your understanding.

    Pallavi. The faculty-student ratio is 20:1, which is very helpful for the teachers. Having limited strength, the faculty members can provide quality time for teaching and interact with the students. On my campus, there is a good relationship between teachers and students. The teachers are very understanding as well as very helpful, and the students also obey the teacher. Everyone works in coordination.

    Careers360. What facilities do you have on campus? What do you like here the most which you feel is unique and differentiating?

    Pallavi. Yes, all facilities on the campus are necessary. We have a cafeteria, a medical facility, a playground, and libraries with the required study material.

    Careers360. What about the medical facilities? Can you avail yourself of the requisite medical attention if needed in an emergency?

    Pallavi. Medical facilities are quite good here, and if there is any kind of emergency. We have a doctor on our campus that provides us with first aid and provides proper medication for a student suffering from any sickness or ailment.

    Careers360. How do you balance your studies, projects, exams, and other activities?

    Pallavi. Time management is the main key to balancing everything. And I am a student of management. I learned to manage things well. I divide my work according to my timetable and then work on them without wasting time.

    Careers360. Tell us about the clubs and societies on campus and how significant they are from your point of view or the students’ point of view.

    Pallavi. Clubs and societies on campus have a special role in managing most of the events in the college, as all the activities that take place in the college are organized by the respective club, which is significant for the students because it creates a sense of responsibility in them and makes them work in a team, which develops the students’ personality.

    Careers360. What are the popular hangouts at the institute? What, according to you, are the most-visited places nearby?

    Pallavi. Greater Noida and Ghaziabad have lots of popular places like malls, parks, famous temples, and restaurants that are most visited, and Delhi is also very close to the institute.

    Careers360. How do you spend your leisure time on campus?

    Pallavi. Being a day scholar, I have little free time on campus. We have back-to-back lectures from 10 AM to 5 PM. In between, the only leisure time that we have is the lunch break, which I enjoy with my friends in the cafeteria.

    Careers360. What types of companies come for campus recruitment, and what percentage of students gets placed every year? How is the recruitment process here?

    Pallavi. The companies that came for campus placement are quite good, they came for most of the profiles like HR, Sales & Marketing, IT, and other departments too like pharmacy and engineering came with a suitable profile. Approximately 80% of the students are placed every year, and the recruitment process has three stages: the first is an aptitude test, the second is a group discussion, and the third and final one is a personal interview.
