The National Testing Agency has released the NCET 2026 guidelines for the students who are going to appear in the exam. Candidates can download the prospectus to get the NCET guidelines 2026. The NCET exam day guidelines is the set of instructions provided by the NTA to follow strictly in the exam hall.

The NCET 2026 exam will be conducted on April 17 and 18 in two shifts. Each shift will last for 3 hours. It is advised to download and read the NCET 2026 admit card thoroughly. The admit card of the NCET consists of three pages and contains the NCET exam day do’s and don’ts.
The candidates are instructed to follow the following dress code while appearing for NCET 2026.
Heavy clothes with long sleeves are not permitted.
In case candidates come in cultural/customary dress at the Examination Centre, they should report at least an hour before the last reporting time so that there is enough time for proper frisking without any inconvenience to the candidate while maintaining the sanctity of the examination.
Slippers and sandals with low heels are permitted.
Shoes are not permitted.
In case of any deviation required due to unavoidable (medical, etc.) circumstances, specific approval of NTA must be taken before the Admit Cards are issued.

Carry all the relevant documents.
Reach the exam centre before the reporting time to avoid any last-minute rush.
No arrangement will be made at the Centres for keeping any articles/items belonging to the candidates.
The candidates will be subjected to extensive and compulsory frisking before entering the Examination Centre with the help of highly sensitive metal detectors. The candidates are not allowed to carry the barred items inside the Examination Centre under any circumstances.
The candidates wearing articles or objects of faith (customary/ cultural/ religious) should report at the examination centre at least two hours before the last reporting time so that there is enough time for proper frisking without any inconvenience to the candidate while maintaining the sanctity of the examination.
If any suspected device will be found on screening, he/ she may be asked not to take it into the examination hall.
The exam shift is available in the admit card. It is important to know the exam shift allotted to the candidates. Students must reach their exam centre before the reporting time. The NCET exam is conducted in two days.

Applicants who will be appearing in the NCET exam must follow certain rules and regulations before and after reaching the examination hall. Students first need to read the complete NCET 2026 hall ticket, which also contains the instructions that must be followed. Students should strictly adhere to the NCET Exam Centre Guidelines 2026.
Any item like textual material (printed or written), bits of paper, Geometry/Pencil Box, Plastic Pouch, Calculator, Pen, Scale, Writing Pad, Pen Drives, Eraser, Log Table, Electronic Pen/Scanner, etc.
Any communication device like a mobile phone, Bluetooth, Earphones, Microphone, Pager, Health Band, etc.
Other items like Wallet, Goggles, Handbags, Belt, Cap, etc.
Any Watch/Wristwatch, Bracelet, Camera, etc.
Any ornaments/metallic items.
Any food items opened or packed, water bottles, etc.
Any other item that could be used for unfair means, by hiding communication devices like a microchip, camera, Bluetooth device, etc.
Students must bring all the relevant documents on the exam day. Fails to take any relevant documents, his/her paper will be cancelled. Below you will find the list of the items allowed in the NCET exam hall.
NCET 2026 admit card
One photo identity proof (Aadhar card/PAN card/Voter ID/Driving license/Class 10 admit card)
Xerox copy of the same photo identity proof
Two passport-sized photographs (same as in the admit card)
A simple transparent Ball Point Pen
PwD/PwBD certificate issued by the authorised medical officer, if claiming the relaxation under the PwD/PwBD category.
Sugar tablets/fruits (like banana/apple/orange) in case the candidate is diabetic.
