Vadodara-based Parul University’s garba ground came alive with the beats of Gujarat’s traditional garba and the spirits of 5500+ students from 75+ nations at Navratri 2025. At the centre of the festivities was the International Garba Night, where students from Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Mozambique, South Africa, Malawi, Lesotho, Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar, Bangladesh, Papua New Guinea, Fiji and many other countries danced in their traditional chaniya cholis and kediyus, bringing their international touches to the dance floor. The night became a living proof that culture has no borders, and like every year, this year’s circles on the Navratri ground weren’t mere circles but a celebration of unity. Adding to the electric energy was RJ Kshitij and his band, who turned every night into a musical rollercoaster, switching from soulful Garba beats to high-octane tracks that had the crowd refusing to leave the floor. The campus turned into a festive carnival with the chic selfie booths, beautiful campus décor, and award-winning dance-offs.
Music filled the air, and the international students from across the globe danced to the music and owned the stage.“I never thought I’d find myself dancing Garba in Gujarat,” said a student from Mozambique, grinning between spins. “But the joy is contagious, once the music starts, you can’t help but join in.” Another student from Bhutan called the experience “a blend of fun, friendship, and culture that makes you forget where you’re from, because in that moment, everyone belongs to the same rhythm.”
