Shoolini University - Yoga is more than just a workout — the 'kriyas’ and ‘pranayama’ are only fractions — it is an entire lifestyle. The word Yoga, which has roots in Sanskrit, means "union" — and that’s an apt way to describe Yoga as it brings together the mind and the body.
This ancient practice that began in India 5,000 years ago helps relax and calm the mind, body, and soul. It brings together mental and physical disciplines for health benefits, including a healthy and robust body, peace of mind, and increased focus and concentration. Regular practice builds up muscle strength, flexibility, body toning and improves respiration, energy, and vitality as well.
The modern world's increased stress levels and rapid pace have popularised Yoga. We spend so much time on our devices, be it leisurely checking our Instagram or checking off things on our to-do work list. The hustle and bustle of being on top has affected the quality of life.
Currently, the health and wellness sector is worth $10 billion. Celebrity Yoga programmes, fitness profiles, nutritious diets, and a desire to improve the quality of life has established Yoga as a booming industry. As a result, there is a continuous demand for trained Yoga professionals who can provide holistic lifestyle solutions.
