International Week 2025 at Parul University Marks Largest Global Collaboration of the Year

Vadodara-based Parul University hosted the greatest global gathering of the year, International Week 2025, a vibrant celebration of global academic collaboration and cultural exchange. It was attended by representatives of 30+ leading universities and institutes around Germany, Indonesia, Malaysia, Nigeria, New Zealand, France, Poland, South Africa, the UK, Australia and Uzbekistan, the largest ever attendance in the history of the event.

The week brought together professors, senior academic leaders, researchers, and international relations officers from diverse disciplines, including Engineering, Management, Applied Sciences, Liberal Arts, Design, and Public Health. Five international professors participated in guest lectures, workshops and collaborations with faculty under the Visiting Professor Program. The Indian Summer School Program hosted seven international students with one faculty member to spend a week in an academic and cultural immersion experience, and two students attended the Inbound Semester Exchange Program to spend one semester studying at Parul University.

This year’s edition marked the largest-ever participation, bringing together delegates from Charles Sturt University, Australia; University Canada West, Canada; University of Applied Sciences Kaiserslautern, Germany; Airlangga University, Indonesia; Birmingham City University, UK; Wake Forest University, USA; Wroclaw University of Science & Technology, Poland; Universiti Sains Malaysia, Malaysia; ITMO University, Russia. There were also guests from France’s OMNES Education, ESIGELEC and ISEN Yncrea Ouest; New Zealand’s University of Otago, Victoria University of Wellington and Estero New Zealand, as well as South Africa’s Gordon Institute of Business Science, University of Pretoria, and Durban University of Technology. A strong representation of 18 delegates came from Uzbekistan’s reputed institutions including Asian Technology University, Karshi State Technical University, University of Information Management Technology, and National Metrology Institute of Uzbekistan.

Throughout the week, the representatives of various universities interacted with students and faculty of Parul University in interactive workshops, lectures, cultural performances, and discussions of shared projects. The program also made faculty exchange, joint research, curriculum development partnerships and cross-cultural learning experiences possible and helped demonstrate and highlight the traditional and academic strengths of India.

Candidates interested in pursuing a career in visual merchandising can enroll in diploma, degree, post-graduate, or certificate programmes. 10+2 is the minimum requirement for applying to visual merchandising degrees at various institutes/colleges/universities. Candidates should budget between Rs. 4 lakh and Rs. 5 lakh for the course (varies institute to institute).

Candidates who want to pursue a master's degree in Visual Merchandising must pass the IIAD test. The IIAD test is administered by the Indian Institute of Art and Design in order to provide admission to design programmes. To be admitted to Visual Merchandising, candidates must pass the IIA entrance exam.
