After the release of CUET UG 2024 answer key and response sheet, candidates can use the following formula to determine their CUET marks.
CUET score = {(5*number of correct answers)-(1*number of wrong answers)}
CUET percentile is the marks that shows the performance of a candidate as compared to the remaining participants in the exam. The CUET percentile is an indicator on how well a candidate has scored as compared to the remaining participants.
Students who have participated in the exam will get a better idea about their position with the help of CUET percentile. It is important to be aware that CUET percentile is calculated by dividing the total number of participating candidates with scores equal to or lower then the candidates whose percentile is getting calculated, by the total number of participants. Candidates are advised to check the table below to get a better understanding on the difference between CUET marks and percentile.
Candidates require the following details to calculate CUET percentile.
CUET raw score: The raw score is the actual marks obtained in the exam.
Total number of exam participants: Candidates need the total number of participating candidates to calculate the percentile in CUET.
CUET percentile = (Number of candidates who scored equal to or lower than your raw score / Total number of test takers) * 100
Marks Range | Percentile |
200 - 188 | 100 |
187 - 170 | 99 |
169 - 150 | 98 - 97 |
149 - 130 | 96 - 95 |
129 - 110 | 94 - 93 |
109 - 90 | 92 - 90 |
89 - 80 | 89 - 84 |
79 - 70 | 83 - 80 |
69 - 60 | 79 - 75 |
59 - 50 | 74 - 70 |
49 - 40 | 69 - 55 |
39 - 20 | 54 - 30 |
Note: The percentile mentioned in the table above is based on previous year data. Students are advised to check the table above to get an idea about how CUET percentile is calculated.
Students can calculate CUET percentile by dividing the their total marks by the total number of candidates who have scored equal or lower than the concerned student, then multiplying it with 100.
Although it is challenging to secure admission to the top CUET participating universities with 500 marks, a range between 400 to 600 in CUET is considered decent.
The CUET cutoff is calculated based on various important factors such as total number of applicants, number of available seats, the difficulty level of CUET exam and several other factors.
To calculate CUET scores, candidates are required to multiply 5 with the number of correct answers, then, subtracting the number of incorrect answers.
As per CUET marking pattern, candidates are awarded 5 marks for every correct answer, and 1 mark is deducted for every incorrect answer. However, there are no negative marking for unattempted questions.
Candidates can check their normalised score in CUET by converting their CUET raw score into the percentile.

Hello ayush hope you are doing well
BSc is a future oriented course which emphasis on research as well as teaching oriented degree It gives you a depth on that subject But it depends on your future what you want to do. Btech is industry based course and Bsc is a research based academic degree and NEET is a entry level of professional course If you have enough courage to take a drop and crack any entrance of Engineering or neet for good colleges then you can drop a year. But firstly make sure that your drop year should be worth enough in future.it totally depends on you how you are going to spend your coming year.
If you are not sure about any of these courses and want to take admission this year go for bachelor in science in private universities as they still open their admission process.
