Calicut University has started the admission for its online undergraduate and postgraduate programmes under Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE), University of Calicut, for the academic year 2026–27, academic session August 2026. Calicut University online programmes include B.A. Sociology Honours, B.A. History Honours, M.A. Sociology, M.A. History, M.A. Political Science, M.A. Economics, M.Com (Finance), and M.A. Arabic Language and Literature. These programmes follow a blended model in which classes are conducted online while examinations are held in offline mode at designated centres within affiliated colleges under the University of Calicut.

*The detailed fee structure for examination, other than the Examination Fee (per course) mentioned above, shall be notified separately at the time of examination registration.
SC / ST / OEC categories shall be exempted from paying Tuition Fee, Exam Fee, Admission Fee, and SLM Fee. However, they are required to pay special fees like Registration Fees and Caution Deposits. To claim this, candidates must not be government/public sector employees, must not be seeking an additional degree at the same level, and must not have previously claimed a PG-level concession. Applying through the Government of Kerala’s e-Grantz portal is mandatory to receive this benefit.
Blind students: Under Scheme A, blind students receive a full exemption from Tuition, Examination, Admission, and SLM fees, needing only to pay the Registration Fee and Caution Deposit.
Ineligible for Concessions: Students belonging to the OBC category, foreign nationals, and individuals pursuing an additional degree at the same level are not eligible for concessions.
With a blended format and a completely virtual format, Calicut University provides flexible pathways tailored to the different academic needs of students. Calicut University releases its allotment list in multiple phases, including trial, first, and supplementary allotments. For instance, the first and second allotments for UG courses were released in June 2024, followed by supplementary rounds in July. Admission for UG programs generally closes by late August.
