University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) Dehradun is committed to supporting meritorious and deserving students through a wide range of scholarships. Who will get Scholarships at UPES Dehradun

All students who have completed class 12th from CBSE Board/ ICSE Board, or any State Board Exam (listed under "COBSE") are eligible for this scholarship. However, it will be awarded only to students who meet the specified scholarship criteria for the first year and potential renewal, if applicable. The scholarship is available for a limited number of seats.

UPES Dehradun Academic Scholarships 2024

University of Petroleum and Energy Studies Dehradun offers Academic scholarships to meritorious and deserving students on the basis of the marks secured by students in Class 12th result/ JEE score/ CUET score. Students are rewarded scholarship for 1st year only

Twenty-five seats are reserved for wards of Armed Forces and Paramilitary personnel (serving and retired). Scholarships, covering up to 30% of tuition fees, are awarded only if the acceptance fee is paid within the specified timelines. The scholarship applies only to regular programmes, if a student shifts to a Global Pathway course, the scholarship will be revoked.

A total of 2700 scholarships are available (out of these all girls scoring over 60% in class 12th guaranteed a scholarship). UPES Dehradun MBA Scholarships 2024

University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, Dehradun offers MBA scholarships to all the students who have applied for admission to UPES MBA courses (regular) except Global Pathway Programme (GPP). Eligibility Criteria for Fellowship for MTech and M.Des Students

• Minimum SGPA/CGPA of 8.5 in the first and subsequent semesters/years.
• Passed every semester on the first attempt without any supplementary or improvement exams.
• Minimum of 75% attendance throughout the semester.
• No disciplinary action taken against the student.
• Exemplary behaviour and adherence to all University norms.
• The student must not be receiving any other financial assistance/support, such as fellowships, scholarships, or fee waivers from any other public or private source

Apart from these the university also provides students with freeships and extends financial support, who are unable to pay the tuition fee on account of having lost any of the earning parents after taking admission at UPES and after submitting the full fees for at least one semester. The University provides financial support by offering a tuition fee reduction of Rs. 50,000/- per semester until the final qualifying semester.

What is the Eligibility Criteria to get financial support at UPES Dehradun

• The student should maintain/ improve their academic performance every semester.

• The students applying for relaxation should not have any NC (Not Clear) or Backlog in any semester. However, the scholarship committee can use its discretion to recommend the Vice Chancellor for approval without using this as a precedent for future cases of the same nature, if any.

• He/She should also have a clear record of discipline.

• This relaxation is applicable only for the upcoming semester.

Note: The above relaxation is only for one semester. Students seeking an extension must submit a fresh application with the latest grade card after a communication from the Department of Student Welfare (DSW).
