The National Testing Agency has closed the CUET exam city 2026 preference portal on May 7. Applicants with allotments beyond their preferences could choose from vacant slots in alternate cities through the CUET 2026 exam city re-allocation window. The agency opened the portal for CUET 2026 exam city preferences on May 5 at cuet.nta.nic.in. Out of the 15,68,866 registered students, 96.6% candidates were allotted one of their preferences and 79% of them have been assigned CUET exam centres 2026 based on their first preference.

The NTA will issue the CUET 2026 revised admit card soon for students who have selected their exam city preference during the re-allocation window. Candidates who fail to edit their preference after the CUET exam city re-allocation window 2026 deadline must appear for the exam at the initially allotted exam centres. Students are advised to follow the steps given below on how to select exam cities during CUET re-allocation window 2026.
Visit the CUET official website at cuet.nta.nic.in.
Click on the “Selection of Revised Exam State / City / Date / Shift” tab.
It will take you to a login window.
Enter your registered application number along with password and security code.
Click on the “Log In” button.
The CUET UG re-allocation window 2026 will be displayed on the screen.
Select your preferred exam city along with your preferred exam date and shift.
Click on the “Submit” button after selecting your preferred exam city for CUET 2026 exam centre.
The NTA will soon issue CUET UG 2026 revised admit cards for students who have selected exam cities through re-allocation window. Applicants must download the CUET UG revised admit card 2026 by visiting the official website. Students will not be allowed to appear for the exam without CUET admit card 2026. Candidates who have opted for re-allocation of exam cities should carry the CUET revised admit card 2026 to avoid any inconvenience at the exam centres. Students are required to take multiple printouts of CUET admit card 2026 before appearing for the exam.
