Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore has commenced the IIM Bangalore UG 2026-27 registration with several changes to its admission process including eligibility requirements, exam duration, selection process, and more. IIM Bangalore offers admissions to four year BSc (Hons) in Economics and Data Science based on the marks obtained in IIMB UG exam 2026-27. IIM Bangalore UG registration 2026 started on August 17. Candidates can apply for IIMB UG 2026-27 registration till October 15. The IIMB UG 2026-27 exam will be held on November 15.

According to the IIMB UG 2026-27 changes, the duration of the exam has been increased from 120 to 135 minutes. The institute has also changed the eligibility requirements compared to the previous year by allowing students who did not complete Maths in Class 10 and 12 to appear for the IIMB UG exam 2026-27.
IIM Bangalore conducts the IIMB UG exam 2026-27 in CBT mode consisting of 60 multiple choice questions for 135 minutes. Earlier, the duration of the exam was 120 minutes. The institute has increased the duration of the exam to attempt maximum questions within the exam time to secure maximum marks.
According to the IIM Bangalore UG eligibility criteria 2026-27 changes, students without completing Maths in Class 10 and 12 can apply for Maths in National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) to appear for the IIMB UG exam.
Students appearing for the IIM Bangalore UG exam are required to have good scores in Mathematics as the Maths scores are considered for the selection process of admissions. IIMB offers 10% weightage for Mathematics in the shortlisting process and 10% in final selection process.

IIMB has implemented a major change by giving 30% weightage for Logical Reasoning in the IIMB UG exam 2026-27. Earlier, Logical Reasoning was considered as a qualifying component in the IIM Bangalore UG entrance exam. With the implementation of weightage for Logical Reasoning, students must focus on Logical Reasoning during their preparation along with Quantitative Aptitude.
IIM Bangalore is conducting the IIMB UG 2026-27 exam on November 15 a month earlier compared to the previous year. This move urges students to make their preparation for the IIMB UG earlier. However, candidates can also find time to prepare for IPMAT and other entrance exams.
The selection process for IIM Bangalore depends on the candidate's performance in the UG admission test. Detailed IIMB selection process 2026-27 for the 4-years UG courses is as follows:
Applicants must qualify the IIMB UG admission test.
Only qualified candidates will be shortlisted for the next step which is the interview round.
Final selection depends on a cumulative score comprising 60% of the entrance test and 40% of the personal interview.
Qualified candidates will be given offer letters for IIMB UG admission 2026-27. They can accept the offer within the deadline, otherwise seats will be allotted to waiting list candidates and chance for admission will be foregone.
For candidates in the first shortlist of IIMB UG admission process, a pre-PI (Personal Interview) score is created. The weights for different components at the pre-PI stage are as follows:
UG Test = 70
10th board overall (standardized) score = 15
10th board math (standardized) score = 10
Gender diversity = 5
The 70 points for UG Test are derived from performance in each of the three sections as follows:
Quantitative Aptitude and Data Interpretation (QAD) - 20 points.
Logical Reasoning (LR) - 30 points
Verbal ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC) - 20 points
The gender diversity component is applicable only for computing the pre-PI score and is not used in the next stage.
Based on the pre-PI score, a certain number of candidates from each category are selected for the next stage of the admission process.
The second stage of the admissions process at IIMB consists of a personal interview (PI) in selected cities.
For all the candidates called for interviews, the weights for the parameters at the post-PI stage are as follows:
10th board overall (standardized) score = 10
10th board math (standardized) score = 10
UG Test score = 40
Personal interview = 40
