Careers 360: Tell us something about yourself.

A: I am Kaushal Sethi, pursuing a BPharm final year at Chitkara College of Pharmacy, Chitkara University, Rajpura, Punjab. The pharmaceutical industry really gets me excited, and I hope to build my career in it because I’m super passionate about the field. Beyond studies, I am fond of writing, travelling, public speaking, graphic designing, and video editing.

Currently, I’m also leading the charge as president of our student-run club at Chitkara College of Pharmacy, C.H.A.M.P. (Chitkara House of Aspirants and Multitalented Pharmacists). It’s a role that lets me bring my leadership skills to the table and collaborate with fellow students on some pretty cool initiatives. I'm someone who loves to learn and grow, always eager to gain new knowledge and skills.

Careers 360: What programme or major are you currently enrolled in and what factors did you consider while choosing Chitkara University and its programme?

A: I am pursuing a Bachelor in Pharmacy from Chitkara College of Pharmacy, Chitkara University, Rajpura, Punjab. Currently, I am in 4th Year.

When I was choosing colleges, I specifically opted for this one due to its excellent institutional ranking, impressive infrastructure, and the positive feedback obtained from some of my friends who were already enrolled here at Chitkara University. Moreover, the college's affiliations with renowned companies and its track record of successful placements reinforced my decision to study here.

A: My experience with Chitkara College of Pharmacy, Rajpura admission process was remarkably smooth and straightforward. A: Since my school days, I've been actively involved in extracurricular activities, honing my time management skills along the way. When it comes to studying, I employ some personalised techniques that I've discovered and refined over time. I deeply appreciate the understanding and support from our faculty, who acknowledge and accommodate our extracurricular involvements, providing invaluable assistance during hectic times.

A: Absolutely! I'm involved in quite a few clubs here on campus. They're more than just hobbies; they make me feel like I'm part of something bigger at college. Whether I'm taking part in activities or even leading them, it helped me grow a lot. I've developed invaluable leadership skills, forged meaningful connections with peers who share similar interests, and honed my abilities to collaborate effectively in team settings. These activities have not only enriched my experience at Chitkara College of Pharmacy, Rajpura but have also equipped me with a diverse set of experiences and perspectives that will undoubtedly benefit me both personally and professionally in the future.

Honestly, this network provides ample opportunities for personal and professional development.

Careers 360: Internships are an integral part of any student’s life. Please discuss the internship process at your institution/university and how it leads to students being placement-ready.

A: The process is easy, you just pick the city where you'd like to work, and the college team matches you with companies in that area. It's cool because you get to choose based on your preferences. During the internship, we're not left on our own; we have advisors from the faculty and people from the industry guiding us.

They help us learn and grow our skills, which is awesome. We're not just sitting in classrooms anymore; we're out there working on real projects, gaining hands-on experience on how things actually work in the industry. Plus, we get to meet people who are already working in the field, which is a huge bonus. Building those connections can significantly boost our career prospects when we enter the industry.
