IIHS Bengaluru Selection Criteria 2026

Admissions to the University’s Master’s programmes follows a two-stage process, combining an entrance exam and an interview.

Stage 1: Entrance Examination

Complete a two-part online examination to be held on 4 April 2026. You must score at least 40% in the MCQ segment to qualify for Stage 2.

1. Multiple choice question (MCQ) segment, comprising the following sections:

• General: Reading comprehension, basic math and logical reasoning
• Advanced: Knowledge-based questions across themes of the Master’s programmes

2. Two essay questions

Stage 2: Essay Evaluation and Interviews

Candidates will be shortlisted based on entrance exam scores and Diversity Points. Only shortlisted applicants move to Stage 2.

• Essay assessment: Shortlisted applicants’ written essays (from the second part of the entrance exam) will be assessed and graded. All responses will be anonymised for review.

• Online interview: Shortlisted applicants are required to appear for a 30-minute online interview.

Note: A minimum combined score of 40% from the essay and interview is required.
