Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology hosted a distinguished delegation led by Dr. Michelle Lujan Grisham, Governor of New Mexico, on August 5, 2024. This visit marks a significant step in fostering international collaboration and advancing educational and technological partnerships.

Welcome Ceremony and Introduction was held at 1:00 PM, the delegation was welcomed at the "Sathyabama Centre for Advanced Studies" building entrance by Vice Presidents Ms. Maria Bernadette Tamilrasi, Mr. J. Arul Selvan, Ms. Maria Catherine Jayapriya, and other esteemed dignitaries from Sathyabama University. The delegation proceeded to Chancellor Dr Mariazeena Johnsons office for a formal introduction.

The lunch was hosted in the Dining Hall, offering the delegates a taste of local hospitality and cuisine.

The Indian National Anthem and a traditional Bharatnatyam dance was performed by students followed by the welcome address and introductions. This cultural welcome of the event took place in the Board Room.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between Sathyabama University and the State of New Mexico for future collaboration in education and research in the fields of clean energy, artificial intelligence, and cyber security. This was followed by a group photo session.

The delegation then attended a meeting with a private space technology company in the Board Room.

The delegation included notable figures such as Mr. Manuel Cordova, Ms. Caroline Buerkle (CVO, Governor Office), Ms. Melanie A. Kenderdine (Energy, Minerals & Natural Resources Minister), Ms. Melinda Alen (President, NM Partnership), Ms. Nora Sackett (Director, Science & Technology), Dr. Mahyar Amouzegar (President, NM Tech), Dr. Srinivas Mukkamalla (CPO, Ivanti), Mr. Ram Movva (CEO, Securin), and Mr. Chris Hodges (U.S. Consul General, Chennai), along with other dignitaries including Dr. A. V. Ratna (Vice Chancellor,Siddhartha University), Mr. Vinay Kumar, Mrs. Neeti Sravan, and Mr. Arvindan (IPS Officer).

According to the official admission policy of Sathyabama university, lateral entries can be admitted during the second year B.Tech program of the seats were partially filled during its first year i.e, In case of seat availability, then the college claims to admit diploma students in the second year in the name of lateral entry.
Inorder to know the seat availability of a particular branch in B.Tech, it's better to visit the campus.
