The National Testing Agency closed the CUET form correction window on February 11. Applicants were able to make changes in their applications during the CUET correction window 2026. The NTA closed the fee payment window 2026 on February 7. Students were able to submit their applications during the CUET registration window 2026 till February 4.
Students must ensure that they use a valid email address and phone number during registration as they will be communicated through those channels. Students need to use their APAAR ID for CUET before the registration. Category certificates (for reserved category).
Photo Identity proof such as Aadhaar, bank passbook, Ration card copy, etc.
Scanned images of photographs and signatures according to the requirements of NTA CUET 2026.
Debit card/Internet banking details for CUET 2026 registration fee payment.

Step 1: Registration & Verification
Visit the Site: Go to cuet.nta.nic.in and select "New Candidate Register Here."
Verify Identity: Use a valid ID like Aadhaar, PAN card, Passport, or DigiLocker to start.
Fill Basics: Enter your name, date of birth, contact details, and address.
Set Password: Create a secure password and choose a security question.
OTP Confirmation: Review your details and enter the OTP sent to your mobile to get your application number.

Step 2: Personal & Educational Details
Profile Building: Provide extra info like parent’s income, occupation, and any category quotas (SC/ST/OBC/etc.).
Academic History: Enter your marks and school details for both Class 10 and Class 12.
Step 3: Program & Test Selection
Choose Universities: Select the universities and specific courses you want to apply for.
Pick Subjects: Choose your test papers (up to a maximum of 6 subjects across languages and domains).
Exam Center: Pick up to 4 cities where you would prefer to take the test.
Step 4: Documents & Payment
Upload Files: Upload your recent photo, signature, and Class 10 certificate (ensure they meet the required file size).
Final Review: Do a final check of all sections; once submitted, you move to the payment gateway.
Fee Payment: Complete the process by paying the application fee online. Your status will then update to "Complete."

Aadhaar Mismatch: Details like name, gender, and date of birth are collected directly from UIDAI. If your Aadhaar details are outdated or have spelling errors, they will automatically reflect incorrectly on your form.
Inactive Contact Info: Providing an email or phone number that you don’t check frequently. Since NTA sends all updates (admit cards, results, exam centers) via SMS/Email, losing this will be problematic.
No "Live Photo": Starting from 2026, many students forget to capture and upload a live photograph using their webcam.
Incorrect File Specifications: Uploading images that are blurry, over the size limit, or in the wrong format will get your application rejected
Signature Clarity: Using a background not suggested by NTA is a big problem, Signatures must be on plain white paper with a black or blue pen.
Old Category Certificates: Reserved category students (OBC-NCL/EWS) should not upload old certificates. For 2026, many universities require certificates issued on or after March 31, 2026.
