Careers360: Tell us something about yourself such as from which place are you from?

Answer: My name is Abhay Kapoor and I’m from Delhi.

Careers360: Presently which course are you pursuing and in which year are you?

Answer: I’m pursuing B.Sc (Hons) in Biotechnology (2nd year).

Careers360: Did you face any difficulty in the initial months when you joined the institute?

Answer: Yes, initially during my time away from my family, I experienced a sense of solitude and isolation. However, as my college life unfolded, I had the privilege of forging meaningful connections with a diverse group of friends.

Careers360: What activities are offered in the institute? Are there any clubs etc for the various extracurricular activities? Which ones have you taken up and are a part of?

Answer: SRHU offers a wide range of activities such as sports, cultural, extracurricular, workshops etc. There’s a student ecosystem namely, “YOUNITE” in which I hold the esteemed position of ‘Xcelerator’. Younite provided me with an exceptional platform to showcase my talent and abilities.

Careers360: Describe a typical day at your institute. What do you do from the time you wake up till you go to sleep?

Answer: My day usually begins by getting ready for college followed by attending the lectures and practical sessions. Between the classes we have scheduled breaks. After the lectures get over we gather together to play sports or sometimes we play guitar or we spend our time in cafeterias or canteens. After that I come back to my room and connect with my roommates who are also my classmates. Then we complete our assignments and then relax so that we can recharge for the next day.

Careers360: Tell us about the faculty-student ratio here and about the teacher-student relationship in your understanding.

Answer: The faculty student ratio is optimal to ensure effective learning and personalized attention for students. The faculty encourage the students to seek guidance and clarifications, both during and outside of classroom hours. The faculty helps the students to set academic goals, providing guidance on career planning and personal development.

Careers360: What facilities do you have on the campus? What do you like here the most which you feel is unique and differentiating?

Answer: At SRHU we’ve some exceptional facilities such as well-equipped classrooms, advanced labs, a central library, Canteens, cafes, park, Courts, Playground, Hostel, Hospital, and Gym for the fitness enthusiasts.

One of the most enchanting aspects of SRHU that has captivated me as a student is the breathtakingly beautiful green campus. The campus nestled amidst the serene beauty of nature, offers a tranquil and picturesque environment that is truly unparalleled.

Careers360: How comfortable are your hostels and how about the cleanliness factor over there?

Answer: The hostels at SRHU are well maintained, they are equipped with modern amenities to cater the needs of the residents. The hostel rooms are spacious with basic furniture such as beds, study tables, chairs & wardrobes. The hostel has mess facilities that provide hygienic and nutritious meals to the students.

Careers360: What about the medical facilities? Can you avail requisite medical attention if needed in an emergency?

Answer: SRHU has its own fully functional hospital located within the campus premises. The University’s hospital is a comprehensive healthcare facility that caters to medical needs of not only the students but also the faculty, staff and the surrounding community. Yes, we can avail requisite medical attention in case of emergency.

Careers360: How do you balance your studies, projects, exams and other activities?

Answer: I’ve created a schedule that includes dedicated time for each task, prioritizing the most important ones.

Careers360: Tell us about the clubs and societies at the campus and how significant are they from your point of view or students point of view?

Answer: ‘Younite’ the student ecosystem helped me develop various skills outside the academic curriculum. It provides the opportunity to connect, socialize, collaborate with peers who share similar interests and goals. We together organized many events which helped me enhance my leadership, communication and organizational skills.

Careers360: Is there any in-house magazine or journal for the latest events or happenings at the institute?

Answer: Yes, we do have an in-house magazine HIHT News which captures the dynamic events and happenings of the colleges and campus.

Careers360: What are the popular hangouts at the institute? What, according to you, are the most-visited places nearby?

Answer: One of the most popular hangouts at SRHU is the So Comida café, which offers a cozy and inviting atmosphere for students. It’s a perfect place for friends to relax, chat and indulge in a range of delectable food and beverages.

Answer: I spend my leisure time doing activities that bring me joy and personal growth such as I sometimes walk around the campus enjoying the scenic views and connecting with nature, I play games such as badminton, tennis etc. or simply hit the gym to stay fit & active.

Answer: Yes we do have a Facebook page namely (facebook.com/SRHUofficial) which serves as a vibrant platform where students come together to share their thoughts, ideas and experiences. Whether it’s photos or news about upcoming events, noteworthy achievements, or engaging activities, the facebook page ensures timely delivery of information.
