Candidates who are preparing for AMU 2026 entrance examination have to go through the exam pattern. Candidates should familiarise themselves with the AMU exam pattern, which will be made available by the Aligarh Muslim University on its official website. The AMU exam pattern 2026 provides information regarding the marking system, exam duration, question types, testing format, and overall marks.
It is prohibited for applicants to bring any digital devices to the AMU 2026 exam centre, including smartphones, digital calculators, and smartwatches.
At least one hour prior to the start of the exam, applicants may complete the entrance in their AMU 2026 exam centres.
On the day of the exam, invigilators will closely examine the AMU 2026 admission card to make sure it is authentic.

There are four options to each question. The candidate must select the response that, in their opinion, suits the question the best. On the OMR Answer Sheet, the candidate should darken the appropriate circle next to the associated question number.
If you choose more than one response to a question, even if one of them is the right one, it will be considered an incorrect response.
For incorrect responses, 25% of the marks assigned to the question will be deducted. For instance, if the candidate received one mark for the right response to a question, the wrong one would have lost them 0.25 points. Negative marking, however, will not be allowed in admissions tests for B.Sc. (Nursing), Ph.D., and vocational courses offered by community colleges.
Only the OMR Answer Sheet should be used to mark answers. The Question Booklet should not be used to record any answers.
While filling out the application form, participants have the option of selecting an AMU 2026 exam location.
The conducting authorities retain the right to remove any test city from the list of AMU 2026 exam locations.
The applicants must arrive at the exam site with their AMU admit card 2026 and a valid form of identification.
Aligarh Muslim University will issue the AMU admit card in April for candidates who have completed submitting their application form. Entrance Exam is not so hard but there are certain things that should be kept in mind while preparing for the exam
Firstly, if you are in 10th class study well and brush up all your concepts of 9th standard in winter vacation.
Then, fill up the form(available by the end of January) and submit it before mid-Feb.
If you like you can come and attend the crash course after your boards for taking the essence of the competition.(recommended, if you have not given any competitive exam before).
You should not feel demotivated at all. You just need to study hard and you will surely clear your exam. Wishing all the best your preparations.

The selected candidates list in AMU are for those who are selected for the particular course and have a confirmed seat and special category list contains the names of both who's names are there in selected candidates list as well as the chance memo list. Your chance will come only when you make the cut but for now you just have to wait. However it does not mean that you are not selected.
