Tanishka Verma, an aerospace engineer, Batch of 2025, was awarded a fully funded research scholarship by the University of Southampton, UK and supported by Airbus.
This achievement underlines Amity University Noida’s vision and dedication to nurturing talent and creating pathways for its students to engage with engineering challenges today and tomorrow.
Tanishka’s research mainly focuses on aircraft noise reduction. It is one of the most tapped concerns in the aviation industry. The aviation industry has been working toward quieter, more sustainable flight systems for ages. Her work will examine propeller-wing interactions and other mechanisms that combine and produce unbearable noise, especially during takeoffs. The research will directly change the entire set of designs of the next-generation aeroplanes, enhancing customer comfort and a low noise environment.
Collaboration with Airbus and the University of Southampton, UK, is immense in itself. One being the world’s aerospace manufacturer giant, and the other being one of the leading universities renowned for research and innovation.
Amity’s constant focus is on introducing the students to the latest and cutting-edge research throughout their years of study. Innovation never waits for post-graduation. Students' exposure to the industry projects, mentoring sessions by scientists and CXOs, live case studies and industry support has been Amity’s core strength.
Tanishka’s milestone underscores a culture at Amity University Noida that inculcates curiosity, desire to excel, space to be ambitious, and the ability to transform ideas into results with lasting impact. Amity’s tie-ups with industry leaders such as Airbus, Boeing, ISRO, and others provide students with opportunities to gain experience on projects that are changing the technology in aerospace, defence, and aviation.
By offering an environment that values student curiosity and the intent to take up research, publish research papers, and file patents. Amity has been redefining what it means to be an innovation-driven university in India.
Tanishka Verma’s journey from aerospace engineering to a fully funded research scholarship with Airbus is a testament to Amity’s unwavering commitment to excellence, not only in academia but also in industry integration and student success. Her research work on noise reduction is not a personal achievement, but a lasting contribution to the global aviation revolution.
