Punjab College Admission 2025: Department of Higher Education, Punjab will start the Punjab college 2025 admission in the online mode, which is expected to be held in May 2025 for the UG courses. For the PG courses the Punjab College admission 2025 will begin in June 2025. Students will be able to fill the Punjab College admission form through the centralised portal by visiting the link admission.punjab.gov.in. The registered candidates will need to do the online document verification. According to the verification details, the DHE Punjab will release the provisional merit list.
After the release of the final merit list, the colleges will start the counselling process and admission rounds. By depositing the college fees, students' final admission to the colleges will be confirmed.
The dates for the Punjab College admission will be available on the website for both the UG and PG courses. The Punjab College admission dates contain all the dates starting from the application till the college admission.

Students can fill the form for the Punjab University by following the various steps.
Students need to visit the centralised portal at admission.punjab.gov.in.
Click on the UG/PG admission tab.
Fill all the details that are asked.
Click on the " College Profile Tab " which will display the college information, lock profile, Address details, other details, bank details, cancel cheque upload and browse option along with save button.
By entering the Registration Id and selecting the admission the click on “GO” button. The student details.
Click on the “College courses tab” it will display the college course of all the lists and click on the desired option.
Click on the “Subject combinations” then it will display the course subject mappings page ‘Lock Combination’ and ‘Add Combination’ button along with a search filter field.
Click on the “college subject group” . Select and then click on checkboxes and the next button.
Click on the college seat matrix, then it displays the page of the college seat matrix with ‘Lock seat matrix’ along with ‘University’ and ‘college’.
Candidates who are going to fill the Punjab application form must know about the list of documents that are needed to upload in the portal.

Candidates who have registered in the admission portal, need to upload their required documents. According to the uploaded documents, online verification of the candidates will be done. If any document of a student is rejected due to some reasons during the process of online verification, a system-generated SMS/Email will be sent to the applicant and applicant will be required to re-upload the correct document on the online admission portal by logging in his/her account within 48 hours of receiving that SMS. No physical presence shall be required to revise the document.
DHE Punjab will then release the list of candidates in the form of Punjab College 2025 merit list. Students can download the provisional merit from the website. It contains the name of the candidates. Also the course details mentioned by the candidates are available there.

The merit list of the concerned course will be displayed on the screen.

Students must remember that the merit list that is published is provisional. They can raise objections in the provisional merit list. The authority after considering the objections will again release the final Punjab College merit list. It is to be noted that this will be the final merit for the Punjab College admission. Students can check their name in the final merit list by using the same process as above. THE DHE Punjab will conduct the online counselling and the admission of the applicants.
The DHE conducts the online counselling for the candidates. Students will not be required to appear in the colleges for the admission. After final selection, the admission charges shall be paid through online mode only. By paying the course fees the seats will be confirmed. For any further updates one must adhere to the website.
The students taking admission in the UG courses must check the points while choosing their subject combination.
Students who have not studied Math in 12th cannot opt for a Math subject in BA.
Students can opt any three subjects from the groups.
Subjects chosen in 1st year will remain with the student throughout the graduation (3 years) and it cannot be changed under any circumstances.
Maximum one subject can be taken from one group
In case of opting Mudla Gyan/History and culture of Punjab as compulsory subject, an applicant cannot opt Punjab (Literature) as an elective subject.
Admission will be offered only if seats in all subjects within a set/combination are available on merit basis. If seats in any subject are no longer available as per allocation by merit then the student will be offered a seat in his/her next preference (subject combination) as per the availability.
Candidates will be given the chance for change of subjects after the admission process is over.

Yes, a candidate can apply for multiple courses at a time. One can choose up to five colleges and up to five courses in each college.
Yes, there is a one-time non-refundable registration fee of Rs 200 which a candidate has to pay at the time of form submission.
Yes, students from outside Punjab are also eligible to apply for admission in UG classes/courses in colleges affiliated with State Universities.
If a student fails to register within the prescribed time, he/she won't be able to participate in the merit list. Such candidates can participate in open counselling later.
