MRNAT is an objective MCQ test conducted online. The test duration is 90 minutes, and it is 60 minutes for lateral entry courses. It draws the syllabus from Class XII for UG applicants or Graduation for PG applicants.
The paper carries 75 questions for 75 marks, with 1 mark per question and no negative marking.

|---|---|---|
Undergraduation | Arithmetic and Logical Reasoning | 25 |
General English or Verbal Ability | 25 | |

Vision and Values Round
After the exam, selection is based on MRNAT marks along with performance in the VVR.
Personal interaction to discuss motivations, interests, and career goals.
Value-based questions on topics such as sustainability, teamwork, and societal contribution with assigned mentors.
However, if students appear for MRNAT at the Manav Rachna campus, MRNAT and the VVR are conducted on the same day. If students appear from other centres, MRNAT is taken first, and the VVR is conducted online on subsequent days.

MRNAT applications open online through the official Manav Rachna University portal.
Students complete registration, fill out the form, upload their photograph and signature, and pay the registration fee.
Enter personal, academic, and contact details carefully.
Upload documents in the prescribed format and keep a printed copy of the submitted form for reference.
After registration, candidates download the MRNAT admit card by logging in with their registered credentials and completing the verification step. The admit card is issued a few days before the test.
The MRNAT result is declared within 3-5 days of a candidate completing both sections of the test. Seats are allotted strictly on merit, mapped to the preferences submitted in the form. Programme-wise merit lists are prepared (sometimes more than one) and released on the official site. Selected candidates receive the admission offer letter and next-step guidelines through email.

The MRNAT exam is conducted in multiple phases each year. It is available to candidates beyond campus, since there are multiple MRNAT test centres across the country in addition to the university campus.
Phase | Exam Date |
|---|---|
Phase I | 17 January 2026 (Exam Done | Result Declared) |
Phase II | 25, 26, 27 April 2026 |
Scholarships are a key reason students opt for MRNAT. High performers in the test qualify for tuition fee waivers under two schemes:
Utkarsh Scheme: Between 25 January and 29 April 2026
Uttam Scheme: Between 30 April and 30 June 2026
For both schemes, students receive a 100% tuition fee waiver if they score 90% or above in the test, but Utkarsh rewards earlier admission decisions more strongly in the 70–90% score range.
If a student's score is 80% and above but below 90%, Utkarsh gives a 50% tuition fee waiver, and Uttam gives a 25% tuition fee waiver. Similarly, for a score of 70% and above but below 80%, Utkarsh gives a 25% tuition fee waiver, and Uttam gives a 10% tuition fee waiver. For candidates outside the scholarship bracket, MRU offers assistance for educational loans through partner banks at preferential interest rates.
