Careers360: Tell us something about yourself such as from which place are you from?

Answer: My name is Daanish Peerkhan and I am from Mumbai.

Careers360: Presently which course are you pursuing and in which year are you?

Answer: I am pursuing Engineering Physics.

Careers360: Did you face any difficulty in the initial months when you joined the institute?

Answer: A big No from my side. BU offered a very conducive environment to make us feel at home and our new friends and professors helped us navigate our path through the initial months.

Careers360: What activities are offered in the institute? Are there any clubs etc. for the various extracurricular activities? Which ones have you taken up and are a part of?

Answer: There are several activities offered by the university such as regular photography and music competitions. Our university is host to several clubs and societies varying from cultural to academic clubs. I had been a part of Orisis, the tech club of our university.

Careers360: Describe a typical day at your institute – what do you do from the time you wake up till you go to sleep?

Answer: My day at BU is pretty much the same every day, full of classes, labs, practical till evening. Later in the evening, I play indoor games with my friends. Relax a bit and chill with friends. Have my dinner, and dedicate some time for self-study before calling it for the day.

Careers360: Tell us about the faculty-student ratio here and about the teacher-student relationship in your understanding.

Answer: Faculty student ratio in our programme is quite good. With highly supportive faculty every student is able to get individual attention. Both students and teachers are well connected as per the mentor-mentee system.

Careers360: What facilities do you have on the campus? What do you like here the most which you feel is unique and differentiating?

Answer: Bennett University facilities include a gym, swimming pool and sports complex. The most unique thing about our university are the sophisticated equipment such as the sputtering unit (physics equipment) and XRD in Physics Labs that makes our university unique in its kind.

Careers360: How comfortable are your hostels and how about the cleanliness factor over there?

Answer: Our hostels are quite comfortable and clean as compared to other universities across the country.

Careers360: What about the medical facilities? Can you avail requisite medical attention if needed in an emergency?

Answer: We have adequate medical facilities such as 24x7 medical officers, the university's own ambulance and pharmacy.

Careers360: How do you balance your studies, projects, exams, and other activities?

Answer: It’s difficult to balance everything during college life but one must allot specific time for a task in order to complete several tasks on time.

Careers360: Tell us about the clubs and societies at the campus and how significant are they from your point of view or students’ point of view?

Answer: Numerous clubs and societies exist. They are essential for holistic development and extracurricular activities, which are just as significant as academics.

Careers360: Is there any in-house magazine or journal for the latest events or happenings at the institute?

Answer: Yes, University has an in-house newsletter that covers the latest events and happenings on the campus. The university also has an active social media presence on various platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn, where they regularly post updates and highlights of the events and activities happening on the campus.

Careers360: What are the popular hangouts at the institute? What, according to you, are the most-visited places nearby?

Answer: We have a Maggi Hotspot, Southern Stories, Kathi Junction, Quench where anyone can grab a quick snack.

Careers360: How do you spend your leisure time at the campus?

Answer: I spend my leisure time mostly playing TT with my friends.

Careers360: What type of companies come for campus recruitment and what percentage of students get placed every year? How is the recruitment process here?

Answer: Companies differ from branch to branch. For my branch most of them opt for further studies and few who take part in Bennett University placement get placed at IT companies.
